March 21, 2002, Rosalba takes over the leadership of the Earthgardens

Above, Princess Rosalba initiated a massive mural painting program in her town, covering over ugly obsolete political graffitti. She oversaw Eco Teams in Santa Cruz, Trinidad, Samaipata, Comarapa, Pojo, San Ramon, and all the villages in between, she was invited to speak on radio, on TV, and her vhf film documentaries were aired in dozens of towns, proclaiming the importance of BIODIVERSIDAD, and showing the works of the eco teams. Thousands of kids were joining the teams and School Directors introduced recycling, composting, and protecting forests into the curriculum.

Below, In a typical Sembradores moment, Rosalba puts on the gold belt of sovereignty while her courtiers present the symbols of power,... in this case seven baby mice. (It seems the cat ate the mother mouse)

Rosalba's murals and stencils made locals aware of the importance of Parque AMBORO to the supply of fresh water in Bolivia and the habitat of one of the worlds richest biodiversity. Dozens of roadside murals...especially in villages around the cloud forest and Parques Carasco and Amboro. Unfortunately her reign ended on a sad note, when all Earthgardens activity was stopped when agents of the US Bush administration destroyed the works on April 23, 2002. At this time Bolivia was basically under the mandate of USA, and it seems they didn't want a new social paradigm favoring nature above corporate economy. All banners, tools, and educational material were confiscated and never returned.

Charro paints a team banner for the NATURE PRINCESS. The earthgardens was a benevolent monarchy, and the Princesa had world-reknown experts to consult on environmental decisions, like Amory Lovins, Robert Burrowes, and founder Daniel Dalai.

Griselda stands before the eagle banner with her team's wooden shield.

LOS GUARDABOSQUES were the elite boy teams that confronted forest-burners in Brasil, Bolivia, and Peru. Unfortunately the boys' webpage, showing the Guardabosques in action, didn't survive the ransacking of the Earthgardens in 2002.

Earthgardens teach the power of the people united, not the power of authority from above. .

the GIRL LEADERS TODAY, more promising than politicians. :A new culture based on Benevolence

Bolivia is in the top 5 countries of the world in BIODIVERSITY. More valuable than oil, more precious than gold. Help us keep this treasure.
