Together Mom and Emily have more than 100 different Barbies.
This is a picture of my very first Barbie. She was the original and I received her from my Great Aunt Ola. At first I did not play with her all that much because it took some time before she became popular in our area and you could not find clothes for her. Later, it became a competition between the neighborhood girls as to who had the newest Barbie, the most clothes, the best house and the nicest car for the doll.
I kept my first Barbie for many years. Then I let my oldest daughter, Sarah, have her. (Who knew that the value of this doll would skyrocket?) One day Sarah became frustrated when she couldn't make her leg bend the way her new Barbie's legs did and she made it bend, breaking it in the process.
Mom's Favorite Barbie Set!
This is the Barbie that is Mom's current favorite!
A Blast From the Past
I had this doll in the sixties.( Or rather the doll and the other outfit! The coat, hat and pocketbook were sold seprate from the dress.)
These are the dolls that Mom would love to have!
