Snape hates Harry, and always hated James. Lily defended Snape from James, yet he fought her off. We know that Lily and James hook up in their 7th year, which leaves about 2 years in which Snape and Lily could get together. It would be one of those tragic romances because we all know who Lily ends up with in the end, and Harry is a permanent mark of Snape's defeat to James, thus why he hates Harry so much... Uh yah, that all just spilled out of my head. Sorry. Anyhoo, I am very very happy with the colouring of this. It has this simple aura that I am in love with, and hope I can do more of. I am not so happy with the colour of Lily's socks though, but that's ok. I am not so fond of Lily herself either, though I do like her in a way as well. I don't think I should have used the beginnings of her sketch in Oddworld, because now I like that version a whole lot better, though there really is nothing terribly wrong with this one. Gah. I am quite pleased with myself that I made her not look like Ginny though. Yay! The position itself was inspired by my friend sitting on me like that, though as to why he did I still don't know. Oh well, it was stuck in my head and I had to draw it. I was going to do a background, but I got lazy and couldn't think of a decent one. So it stays as is. Blah. |
