Title: Draco with Ginny's Head
Artist: Tiny Q Year: January 2006 Media: Ink, Pencil Crayons, and Copic Markers Comments: So this is a piece that I drew for the Imitation Challenge over at hp_fringeart on LJ. Yes, Tiny Q is actually entering contests again. Will the world suddenly come to an end? Probably. Anyhoo, the idea was to draw a picture based on a famous work, and transform it into a Harry Potter image. I picked one of my favourite pieces by Odd Nerdrum: Man with Woman's Head. I turned them into Draco and Ginny because I think that if they ever do fall in love, with the world set as it is, Draco could be the cause of Ginny's death, just by being who he is. I don't think he could ever forgive himself for being the reason that she is dead, and this image shows how he's hanging onto her memory. Or perhaps he went insane after her death and removed her head, to cherish for all times. =p |
