Frequently Asked Questions About the Rugrats
Q:How old is Tommy compared to the other Rugrats?
A:Tommy, Phil and Lil are about one year old. They're the youngest of the bunch. Angelica is three. Chuckie rides the middle ground--he's two.
Q: Why are they called "Rugrats"?
A: "Rugrats" is an old expression for kids who are still so little that they spend a lot of their time crawling on the floor.
Q: What do Reptar Bars taste like?
A: Reptar Bars taste delicious--and they turn your tongue green.
Q: How can Angelica understand both the grownups AND the babies, while the grownups can only understand Angelica?
A: As a three-year-old, Angelica is part baby and part bigger kid. So she's fluent in both English and babytalk.
Q: How did Susie Carmichaels arrive on the scene? NOTE:Susie's last name has changed from "Carmichael" to "Carmichaels".
A: Susie's family moved in across the street from Tommy's house. Since then, she's been sort of a role model for Tommy. It's nice for him to know a three-year-old he can trust.
Q: Why did the babies feel bad when it looked like Angelica was moving away?
A: Although you almost never see it, Angelica does have a nice side. But what really rallied the babies to get Angelica to stay was seeing how important she had been in their lives. Angelica introduced the babies to each other, and they appreciated that.
Q: Will Chuckie become any braver?
A: No. But at least he knows that he's scared of everything. As Chuckie himself puts it, "Of course I'm scared. I'm always scared and I'm always gonna be scared."
Q: Why don't the Rugrats get caught more often?
A: Well, Stu is usually downstairs inventing--or at least trying to invent--weird new toys, and Didi usually has her nose in a book about child-rearing. Grandpa's either asleep or concentrating on a TV show.
