Although short for a basketball player, Ryota is "lightning" fast, and an excellent point guard. He has a major crush on Ayako, which is quite cute. Once enemies with Mitsui, now they're good buddies. He is also good buddies with Hanamichi, after they shared their sad "romance" histories.
