We all, with veiled eyes, attempt to explain it; yet, when the bold stroke of Spirit Holy unveils eyes long closed by feeding in the temples of learning, it marvelously explains itself - new every morning.  Its jeweled “sermons” lie   on the surface of every page; yet, its wondrous undiscovered gems and mysteries lie buried deep, yielding its riches of arcane and lofty insights that stagger the soul to the one who mines - with open  heart - THE STORY beyond tradition and catechism and earth's hallowed halls of learning.
 

The Fundamentalist finds the treasure of a straight-forward "gospel of salvation and hell-fire damnation" writ large on the pages of his "inerrant" Word of God.  The Moderate finds the treasure of  “justice and mercy kissing" an exhilarating alternative to eternal damnation.  The Mystic sees  the Word made alive and dynamically vibrant  through the symbolism,  the metaphor,  the mystery clearly evidenced on every page - telling a story deeper than all the others, i.e., "place" or "thing" inferring "state", "condition" or "degree"!   Each entity, a prototype - "types and shadows" - appearing on every  page:  the world "within" and the world "without";  the "personal" story of Everyman as well.
 

Each may fail to see the view of the other; but they are ALL correct  -  for the Bible is a manifested version of ALL that is heavenly - AND WE KNOW THAT THERE ARE AT LEAST THREE (3) HEAVENS.  Each would, of necessity, be different  - at least in aspect - else  Paul would not have had a DIFFERENT gospel than his brethren who had not had Paul’s personal privilege of visiting the THIRD HEAVEN - in the spirit or bodily, he knew not which.  To my way of thinking, there may even be at least one Heaven higher than the third where THE MOST HIGH dwells - too holy, high and lifted up to be viewed with eyes less holy than the Son’s.
 

And it is all there – all these and more - in THE WORD, from the most basic to the most ethereal - just as kindergarten and 12th grade and  university are linked,  united, yet as  unseen by the kindergartener's eyes as is his/her knowledge of  microeconomics, though part and parcel of the kindergartener's elementary-level math.  Protestations aside, as SURE as the kindergartener is that 1+1=2 (and he/she is CORRECT!), the kindergartener is NOT correct when he/she goes beyond and says 1 and 1=2 is the ONLY correct answer.  The learned in higher mathematics knows better:  THAT THERE IS ALSO ANOTHER ANSWER!  When other elements beyond the most basic are introduced into the equation, one answer is not enough:  1 apple and 1 orange are not only 2 pieces but are ALSO different fruits.  Or different colors.    Or different nutritional values.  There is a “micro” truth in this and there is a “macro” truth also.
 

Just so is it all there in Genesis 1, 2 and 3.  What to one is the basic creation story ONLY, is - on another level - the story ALSO of the process of REGENERATION in man:  the verses describing the inner world of the struggles of the psyche or the spirit as one strives toward "salvation" - being made HOLY - in an external world of challenges and temptations.   Looming larger  - on another level  - are the individual stories of the 'elohiym (gods) of Genesis 1; the Lord 'elohiym of Genesis 2;  male ('adam) of Genesis 1 and  of Genesis 2 and 3;  Man ('iysh) of Genesis 2 and 3; female ('adam) of Genesis 1; Woman (ishshah) of Genesis 2 and 3; the serpent of Genesis 3 and ALL of them of Genesis 3.
 

Scriptures not only intimate that Genesis (the beginning) is just that but it also forthrightly states that there are FIRST PRINCIPLES and that it is necessary to move beyond those in order to go on to maturity - PERFECTION.  As an example of "first principles",   let us look at the basic principle of fundamentalism:  to make a confession of a belief in Christ is to be "saved" [go to heaven].  That IS true; however, a reading of scripture also says that "he that endures to the END shall be saved".  The mystic will tell you that that latter statement involves far more than a confession with the mouth together with a belief in the heart as Hebrews   says to move past rudimentary (FIRST, ELEMENTARY) principles into the more mature things of God.  Surely that would include going on to the "bearing about in the body the cross of  Christ";  the "suffering in the flesh" in order to cease sinning; "dying daily"; "the fellowship of  HIS sufferings" (NOT ours!);  the "filling up that which is behind of the sufferings of Christ"!  The FULLEST sense of "saved" is NOT to go to Heaven, but to be made whole!   Albeit, perhaps if there are - and there are! - three (3)  or more Heavens - degree of assimilation  EXPERIENTIALLY into the life, death, resurrection and ascension of Christ - AND HIS RETURN – could be the reason for the different Heavens, i.e., 1st grade, 2nd grade, 3rd grade, or elementary, high, graduate school levels, etc .
 

Contrary to mainstream Christian thinking, there is NOT inherent equality in spiritual development.   Christ, Himself, said that some bring forth fruit that is "30" fold, some "60" fold, and some "100" fold (Matt. 13:8-9, KJV).  In fact, every believer - at some time in his/her spiritual journey - suffers from brief or prolonged spiritual "delusions of grandeur" when, in point of fact, they are in "arrested development"! 
 

The Parable of the talents (Matt. 25:14-, KJV) is a very compelling lesson that teaches that the Kingdom of Heaven is like the man who gave differing talents to servants in his kingdom.  Some had more, some less.  While "return on investment" (gain) is the theme of this parable, ultimately SPIRITUAL development is behind the thought - for even financial investment is "spirituality in action".  And each investment is expected to "gain" (grow) and not "lose" (suffer loss) spiritually.
 

In the Book of Revelation, the Lord is addressing CHURCHES, not the world and He admonishes them for various reasons.  There are three degrees of spirituality He mentions:  being lukewarm, hot, or cold.  This is not equality of standing with the Lord!   John, in 1, 2, and 3 John, speaks of little children, the young (ripening) and the old (mature).
 

In all of these scriptures, we are being told that SELF-assessment is dangerous (generally, comparing ourselves against one another as opposed to each looking only unto the Pattern Son, Jesus Christ, as our example exemplar)!  And, ultimately, it is the Holy Spirit who is the "Fruit-Inspector", not man.
 

For Paul, the Apostle - the one who was caught up into the third Heaven and saw things he did not write about! - ONLY the approbation of the fulness of the Christ experience would suffice.  His heart's cry was:  "That I might know Him, and the power of His resurrection, and the fellowship of His sufferings, being made conformable unto His death; if by any means I might attain unto the resurrection of the dead [Amplified:  "even while in the body"].
 

Yet,   ABOVE AND BEYOND ALL OF THESE OTHER "STORIES" IS THE MOST IMPORTANT VIEW, THE ONE  GIVEN BY THE MOST HIGH:  'elyon 'elyon,  the Father of Jesus, the Christ.
 

In deep humility, we wish to unveil the illumination given to us during our many years of the study of the Holy Bible utilizing the Hebrew, Chaldean, Aramaic and Greek from  which the books of the Bible were written.  We sincerely believe that you will see how the Holy Spirit has breathed upon and guided our joyous voyage through the written Word, beginning with our foundation as "babes" in "kindergarten" and leading us onward along The Way.

Christ.  Of whom Jesus is one:  the “monogenes” one.  The English translations, to include the King James Version, translate this Greek word as “the only begotten” (Son) – when, in truth, the proper translation is “only, sole REMAINING” (Son).  ALL OTHERS HAVE SINNED AND COME SHORT OF THE GLORY OF GOD (MOST HIGH).  He was, therefore, the ONLY QUALIFIED (the only remaining FAITHFUL TO THE FATHER ) of the children (the ‘elohiym:  the Gods) – offspring – of the Most High until, because His brethren had partaken of flesh and blood (manifested “independent self”) He likewise - at the behest of The Father - partook of the same -- and came to defeat hell and death and to lead all the lost brethren – now triumphantly overcoming death and hell - home (to reconcile them to their estranged Father!)

The highest standard of holiness:  “GREATER LOVE HATH NO MAN THAN THIS, THAT A MAN LAY DOWN HIS LIFE FOR HIS FRIENDS.”  Embraced by Jesus alone and rejected by all other brethren in some degree who doubt – or fear - in some degree the Ultimate Wisdom of God Most High.

In our Bible Study group, none of us who were conservative in belief had reason to believe that our English language (King James Version) Old Testament differed in any way from the ORIGINAL Old Testament Hebrew text which had been directly handed down by God.  The same held true for the ORIGINAL New Testament Greek text. That is, until the advent of computer software which immediately gave us the original Hebrew texts from whence, being handed down by God, ALL translations SHOULD come. Placed at our fingertips now were original texts which enabled us – and anyone else in the world - FOR THE FIRST TIME IN HISTORY to study, learn, compare and test – at lightning speed - the veracity of ALL translations.
 

The reading of the original texts confronted us with the choices of admitting that ALL of the translations from which we studied deviated numerous times from the original texts which, in some instances,  presented many perversions, resulting in the CREATION of doctrines wholly inconsistent with the ORIGINAL Word of God - or  of  avoiding "trouble" by disavowing Truth.   We were too impressed by the Truth to follow a lie. 
 

We have discovered that Christians find it incredulous that earnest seekers of truth would question the King James Version of the Bible in any way.  We discover that it is the only version that is considered to be totally inerrant – perfect; that there could not possibly be any errors of translation in the King James Version.
 

It, therefore, seems appropriate - prior to presenting some of the King James deviations from the original text – to give a shortened KING JAMES VERSION HISTORY, culled from a larger document by Gary Amirault and "accuracy" comments by mathematician/author James Harrison.  Reference resources by noted Bible historian/scholar/ researchers for your own research are included at the end of the quoted document:

"Can we trust the words and numbers found in our present versions of the Testaments:  Has the original inspired Word been added to, deleted from, or altered somehow?
 

"At life's plummeting pace today, it is impossible for us to truly understand an ancient culture.  Yet we can achieve some knowledge of the fantastic dedication of the early copyists by studying the Masoretic texts.  The Masoretes were the traditional Jewish scholars concerned with the correct copying, interpretations, and pronunciation of the Holy Scriptures.  Original Hebrew texts contain their detailed marginal notes.
 

"Several years ago I had dinner with a biblical scholar who has a thorough knowledge of Hebrew and Greek.  From him I learned about the extreme care and devotedness of these Masoretes.  After supper we were discussing the accuracy of the copied (not translated!) Hebrew Holy Scriptures.  To illustrate Masoretic exactness, my friend opened an edition of the Old Testament in Hebrew.  He turned to a certain page and pointed out two words.  According to the marginal note, these were the middle two words (Leviticus 10:16) of the entire Pentateuch!  I was impressed, but my friend wasn't finished.  Again he flipped to a nearby page and indicated a single letter as the middle symbol of these same books.  Such dedication by copyists and commentators seems incredible in our hurried world.
 

"The priests allowed the scribes a single error; of course, it had to be corrected.  if a second mistake was committed, then they burned the entire manuscript, and the unfortunate copyist had to start over at Genesis 1:1.  With this kind of devotion, who can truly say additions, omissions, or errors have crept into the Lord's Holy Word?  I believe the Bible, in its ORIGINAL manuscripts, is the inerrant Word of God!"

“Recently, we received a copy of the Holy Scriptures produced by the Jewish Publication Society. Of course, being the Jewish Bible, it did not contain the New Testament. In reviewing it, we discovered some interesting things. One shocking observation was discovering hundreds of footnotes as the following: Exact meaning of Hebrew uncertain, syntax of Hebrew unclear, the traditional reading madhebah is of unknown meaning, grammar of Hebrew unclear, meaning of first line uncertain, meaning of verse uncertain in part, force of Hebrew uncertain, construction of the verses uncertain, etc.. This was very shocking. Those of us coming from a conservative Christian background are usually told the Bible is inerrant. The Jews were the guardians of the Old Testament who were extremely diligent to preserve the text that not one jot or tittle was added or removed. Nearly all Christian Bibles rely on the Jewish Masoretic Hebrew text for translating the Old Testament into current languages. How was it possible for the translators to produce an "inerrant" Bible, when the "guardians of the so called 'inerrant' Hebrew text", did not know the meaning of many words and passages? 
 

Unfortunately, the problem does not lie with the Jews' lack of understanding of their own language, but with a false doctrine perpetuated by fundamentalists for many years: The Doctrine of Biblical Inerrancy. This doctrine has caused Christian leaders to have to overlook much to the contrary to maintain their position. They have to take plain facts and hide them from their followers. They have locked themselves into the teaching that the King James Bible is "the inerrant" translation of the "so-called" original texts.
 
 

 They say the 66 books of the present King James Bible are inerrant, but they don't know or don’t tell you:
 

(1) it lacks 14 entire books which were in the original King James of 1611. 
 

(2) the King James Bible has been changed many times in the last 350 years and there have been thousands of corrections! 
 

(3) the original KJV had a calendar of annual Holy days which all believers were to follow such as: Purification of the virgin Mary, annunciation of our Lady, Innocents day, etc.. 
 

(4) the Greek text used by the King James translators produced by Erasmus, a Roman Catholic humanist monk, did not have manuscripts that contained all 27 books of the New Testament, so he borrowed out of the Latin Catholic Vulgate! 
 

(5) We couldn't find the word "hell” even once in the Hebrew Old Testament from which the King James Version of the Old Testament is taken! This was incredible! The very foundation of Christianity, the Old Testament, three quarters of the Bible, and the word "hell" could not be found. In searching dozens of English translations of the Old Testament, to our absolute amazement, the word "hell" could not be found in most of the leading translations. Abraham, Moses, David, and all the rest of the peoples of the Old Testament only knew one place where all people went, good or bad . . . Sheol, the grave, the place of the departed. 
 

Having several thousand dollars of Bible research computer software and dozens of English Bible translations, we wanted to see if these top respected English Bibles (NIV, NASB, etc.) just made a serious mistake or whether we stumbled onto something which should cause us to reevaluate what we have just accepted because we heard it so many times and just assumed was correct. Most of us picture an apple tree as the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, but you won't find it in any Bible, none of them! Most of us, I am sure, when thinking of the Passover, think of a lamb, but a goat was equally acceptable. Our minds have been doctrinally contaminated by traditions much more than perhaps we are willing to admit. 
 

Research shows that English has changed much since 1611. The original King James Version has a note in the margins about the word "hell”. It says "or, the grave". Later editions took the marginal readings out to conform to the mythical standard of an "inerrant Bible”. Marginal alternative renderings showed that translators were uncertain of the meaning. This did not conform to the "inerrant" idea so the marginal readings, which sometimes were more correct than the text, were taken out in later editions. Please note:  if Jonah was in "hell”, as the KJV states, then Jonah escaped from a place where, according to modern theologians, there is no escape. 
 

The concept of evil men going to a place of torment after death first appeared in Jewish apocryphal writings of 3 to 1 B.C. These writings came from the thoughts of the Babylonian religions which the Jews brought back with them from Babylon. It was these books which spoke of eternal separation of good and evil and equating it to man's ultimate fate. Many Jews mixed these teachings with Judaism which brought about great problems. These writings found their way into the Greek Septuagint. The Septuagint was used by the early Church. From there these writings got into the Latin Vulgate. Early English translations relied heavily on the Latin Vulgate. Those that used the Greek also relied heavily upon the Septuagint. The early English translations were either translated from the Latin with the Apocrypha or the Septuagint, which also contained the Apocrypha. Each translation also relied heavily on other translations. Tyndale, for example, borrowed greatly from Martin Luther. The King James directly copied much from previous translations that came directly from the Latin Vulgate. Many of the early Common Language Bibles contained the Apocryphal writings. These writings had a great effect on their view of things and on how to translate other portions of the Bible. Jewish Bibles of today do not contain them. They do not belong in the Scriptures! But the Roman Catholic Bibles, Orthodox Bibles, and the original King James Bible as well as many early Common language Bibles contained them. As the Roman Catholic church and Protestant denominations begin to reacquaint, Protestant translations are beginning to add the Apocryphal Writings to the Bible again. 
 

For many of you this information may come as a shock. You have been so preconditioned through tradition that the tree in the garden was an apple tree, the Passover animal was only a lamb, and that hell was plastered all over the Bible, that this article is probably a bit unnerving. It was extremely painful for me (Gary Amirault) when researching Bible translations to come across the fact that in 1851 the American Bible Society compared six different editions of the King James Bible and discovered over 24,000 variations between the editions of the same Bible translation! How could there be an inerrant King James Bible when even the different editions of the King James Bible had tens of thousands of variant readings!? I was taught by tradition not to question the inerrant King James Bible. No one ever told me that even in the very first year of the King James Bible, two different printings of the very same King James were not the same. No one ever told me that the editions of the KJV up until the 19th century contained 14 additional books not in today's editions. 
 

We have an exact reprint of one of the 1611 printings that contains books such as: The idole Bel and the Dragon, 1 Maccabees, 2 Maccabees, The prayer of Manasseh, Tobit, Judith, the Song of the Three Children, Baruch, etc.. Can you find these books in a present edition of the King James Bible? If the Doctrine of Biblical Inerrancy is a true doctrine, which of the many editions of the KJV is the inerrant one? The original one contained books no longer in the present editions. Have these publishers "taken away from the Word"? Will the plagues of Revelation be on your head because you are using a KJV missing 14 books? 
 

The "Bible Inerrancy Camp" and the "King James Only Camp" teach that we have a perfect Greek text or imply it. It is called the "Textus Receptus" by the KJV camp which is Latin for "Received Text”. They teach this text was available to the King James translators which allowed them to produce an inerrant English translation. Historical records regarding this "Textus Receptus" proves their view to be totally false. 
 
 

First of all, the term "Textus Receptus" first appears in a second edition of Stephanus Greek text produced by the Elzevire Brothers in 1633, twenty two years after the King James Bible was printed! It was an advertising pitch as false as most commercials are today. The so-called "Textus Receptus" began its debut in 1516. It started as a work which took a self-proclaimed "humanist" Roman Catholic monk only several months to, in his own words "throw together rather than edit”. One critic in England called it the "least carefully printed book ever published”. Erasmus, in trying to be the first to get a Greek text in print, threw together in a few months what it took his competitors at Alcala de Henares University many years to assemble. The University's text came to be known as the Complutensian Polyglott. Erasmus only had a handful of very late manuscripts to work from, none of which contained the complete Greek New Testament, so he filled in the gaps from the Latin Vulgate. That is why the "Textus Receptus" has words that do not agree with any known Greek text. He corrected his text in 4 subsequent editions. In the mid-1500's a man named Stephanus took Erasmus' text, and combined it with the Complutensian Text. He produced several editions making changes along the way. The Stephanus text, which the King James translators used, differed from the self-proclaimed "Textus Receptus" in 287 places. There are no known Greek manuscripts that agree "inerrantly" with either the "Textus Receptus" or the Stephanus text. Erasmus, the originator of the so-called "inerrant" Greek text later to be called the "Textus Receptus", dedicated his work to Pope Leo X who later would condemn Luther and the Reformation. 
 

For a full account of this sad chapter of church deception, read "The Text of the New Testament" by Bruce Metzger [noted and respected writer, scholar and researcher].  Foundation Press in Anaheim, California also has some valuable information. 
 
 

The teaching that the King James translators had a perfect Greek text is denied by the translators themselves. In the original edition of 1611 are marginal notes as follows: Note on Luke 17:36, "This 36th verse is wanting in most of the Greek copies".  Note on Acts 25:6 where their text reads: "When he had tarried among them more than ten days”, they inserted the following marginal note: "or, as some copies read, 'no more than eight or ten days’." Unfortunately, notes such as these as well as much other information contained in the Original KJV have been removed to support the "Inerrancy" fraud. 
 

There was a time when Bible writing was strictly in the hands of the church. The end result was the church put the Bible into a "Sacred" language called Latin which common people in latter times could not and were not allowed to read. It was called the Vulgate. The common people could not read the Scriptures in their native tongue of English, German, French, etc.. Getting caught with any portion of the Scriptures in your native language could get one killed by the church! Please believe us. This is true. The Roman Catholic, Greek Orthodox, Russian Orthodox churches did not want Christians or non-Christians reading the Scriptures. 
 
 

When the first Common Language Bibles began to appear in the languages of the world, the state and church still had much control over the wording, who could read it, and which translations one could read. An Anglican Protestant was not allowed to read a Lutheran Bible. King James did not want the people of England to read the English Geneva Bible produced by John Calvin and his associates. Church leaders used the notes in the Geneva Bible as Scriptural support to tell the King how to rule. Before James the first was king of England, he was King James the sixth of Scotland. The Presbyterians caused him much trouble and their favorite Bible was the Geneva Bible. 
 
 

King James commissioned the King James Bible because of political reasons, not because of a love of the Creator. The English were strongly being influenced by the marginal notes in the Geneva Bible which states that the people of a monarchy had the right to overthrow that monarchy if it did not line up with Scripture! King James believed in the "Divine Right of the King". He called the Geneva Bible "seditious". Therefore, he commissioned the King James Bible. He gave the committee 15 rules which they had to abide by while translating his Bible. Several of those selected for the committee resigned because of these stipulations. This list is printed in most well researched Bible translations reference books. We will mention just a couple to show you that this version was not going to be pure nor "inerrant”. 
 

"1. The ordinary Bible read in the Church, commonly called the Bishops Bible, to be followed, and as little altered as the Truth of the original will permit." (Doesn't sound like a "new" translation, does it?)
 

 "3. The Old Ecclesiastical Words to be kept, viz. The word 'church' not be translated Congregation &c." (This was to insure the old Roman Catholic\Anglican rituals, ordinances, and doctrines be not altered. They couldn't change the word baptize into immerse, for example.) 
 

"4. When a Word hath divers Significations, that to be kept which hath been most commonly used by the most of the Ancient Fathers, being agreeable to the Propriety of the Place, and the Analogy of the Faith."
 

 (In other words, they must abide by the "traditions of the elders”. Remember Jesus' words, "You have made the word of God of none effect by your traditions”?) 
 
 

These examples should be enough to show one that the King James translators were not "anointed by God" to produce an authentically original translation free from political and denominational bias. They were "appointed by James" for political and monetary reasons. King James didn't put a penny into the project, but he could make money out of the project since it was his Bible. Not only were the translators not "anointed”, but the King's printers weren't anointed either. The early printings had printers' errors which were downright embarrassing for a so-called "inerrant" Bible. In one edition they forgot to put the word “not” in the 7th commandment! 
 
 

The translator's have this to their credit. They noted in the preface to the reader that they only took previous men's work and hoped to make a better one, knowing others would follow them and produce even a better one yet. This preface has been also removed from present day King James Bibles because it does not conform to the fundamentalist's "inerrancy" teachings. That is why the translators preface is no longer printed in current King James Bibles. We have made several tapes dealing with the many misconceptions and untruths proclaimed about the KJV. We mention here, only a few points to clearly show that the teaching of an "inerrant" KJV is a pure myth. 
 
 

In 1611 two separate editions of the KJV were printed. They came to be known as the "Great He Bible" and the "Great She Bible" because one printed Ruth 3:15 as "he went" and the other printed "she went”. These two original King James Bibles, printed in the first year this Bible was issued, had several thousands differences. When asked to endorse the KJV, Hugh Broughton, foremost Hebrew scholar of England at that time said he would rather "be rent to pieces by wild horses than have had any part in the urging of such a wretched version of the Bible on the poor people”. We have printed a list of material at the end of this booklet which will give one much information about Bible translating. 
 
 

It is vital to understand that when the Roman Catholic, Greek Orthodox, and Russian Orthodox church removed the Scriptures from the common people, these churches were then able to bring in hundreds of pagan doctrines, idols, and false religious rites. The mythologies of the Romans, Greeks, Teutons, Norse, Druids etc. were incorporated into church teaching which produced great darkness. Read about the dark ages of Europe which were brought about by Christian leaders, the popes, bishops, cardinals, and kings appointed by the pope. 
 
 

We forget that the Anglican Church began, not because of Godly reasons, but from political and personal ones. Also don't forget, King James was much more interested in a Bible to support his view of the "divine right of the king" than to produce an inerrant Bible. Church historians have glorified the Reformation far beyond what was really accomplished. Today, we still have a long way to go. 
 
 

Since the King James Bible was a leading player in keeping us in darkness, we will let a King James Bible lead us out of darkness. The following Bible is one of the best reference bibles available. The appendages and footnotes in this King James Bible undo the damage done by the Original King James Bible.      PART I:  THE "READ-THROUGH" VERSION
 

CHAPTER 1
 

The Bible translations (such as The King James Version) are derived from Hebrew and Greek manuscripts.  To be faithful to the original manuscripts and to impart the TRUTH, the translations must state EXACTLY the teachings of the manuscripts, for the manuscripts are ORIGINAL to the translations.  Should, then, the translations NOT follow the original manuscripts, they (Bible translations) are inaccurate, misleading, and then become new inventions, possibly what is meant by "teaching the traditions of men".
 

After more than 15 years of Bible study, our group was led to begin utilizing Hebrew and Greek computerized transliterations - keyed to Strong's Concordance - to study the King James version (our mainstay study Bible) and many of the modern versions. Amazingly, we began to discover that NO Bible translation faithfully imparts MAJOR and most important truths of the Hebrew manuscripts* - from which all others (to include the Greek) derive.  This includes the King James Version!
[*NOTE:  NONE, that is, until our recent discovery of the EXEGESES PARALLEL BIBLE {It may be purchased from the "Acknowledgments" page which can be accessed from our home page}, a recent literal translation and transliteration of scripture - a 10 year project - by Herb Jahn of EVERY word, translating and transliterating from the ARAMAIC manuscript:  THE VERY LANGUAGE SPOKEN BY JESUS! "The Old Covenant was originally inscribed on scrolls in Hebraic and Aramaic (also known as Chaldean).  The New Covenant was inscribed on scrolls in Hebraic, Aramaic and Hellenic (also known as Bible Greek)." Jahn].
 

As an example, we refer you to one such departure in Genesis 6:5.  This verse, in the King James Version, states that "God saw that the wickedness of man was great" while the original Hebrew states that "the Lord saw the wickedness of man was great".  This is no small point for no God in the original Hebrew manuscript is mentioned up to this point in scripture - whether we like it or not, accept it or not - except the 'elohiym which means "gods" - plural - (NOT God) and BOTH - the Lord AND the 'elohiym - are present in separate conversations with Noah in discussing the flood and in giving Noah instructions:  THAT could account for the differing instructions given to Noah. 
 

In Gen. 6:5-7, the LORD saw the wickedness of man and announced man's destruction.  It is in verse 11  that the 'elohiym begin to speak of the corruption of the EARTH and in verse 13 says "the end of all flesh is come before me".  To us, that means that the 'elohiym have now been made aware that the LORD desires the destruction of all flesh:  orders from on High.  [who the 'elohiym (gods) are is discussed later in this document.]
 
 

What we discovered from reading, checking and cross-checking the Hebrew and Greek and Bible translations helped to answer and to make sense of many, many inconsistencies which puzzled us through the years.  We seek to share what we have found.  If you are helped in your understanding of the Word of God and are strengthened in your relationship with el elyon [The Most High God ] - The Father of Jesus the Christ Whom Jesus came to restore us to - we are blessed beyond measure.  Please read our Welcome text and Purpose pages to be certain of our motives.  May you be blessed as we have been--and continue to be.
 

GENESIS 1:1
 

IF YOU HAVE NOT READ GENESIS, CHAPTERS 1 THROUGH 3, WITH A HEBREW TRANSLITERATION AND STRONG'S CONCORDANCE AT YOUR SIDE, YOU WOULD BE UNAWARE THAT EACH TIME THE WORD "GOD" IS READ, ITS TRUE TRANSLATION IS "GODS" FOR IT IS A  PLURAL NOUN.
 

When one reads a Bible translation of Genesis 1 - which speaks of the creation of the heaven, earth, living creatures and man - in every instance, unless one reads from the original Hebrew manuscript from whence ALL translations are taken [albeit not faithfully in all instances], the EXEGESES PARALLEL BIBLE, a Hebrew transliteration or Strong's Concordance which is keyed to the King James Version,  - it is stated that GOD (singular) created and formed each entity.
 

"In the beginning, God created the heaven and the earth." (Gen. 1:1, KJV)
 

"And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness." (Gen 1:26, KJV)
 

The Hebrew (from which the King James Bible and other versions are written), shows that the word the Bibles translate as "God" in these two instances is really 'elohiym.  This word has presented many problems for in Hebrew, it is a plural noun. Many have sought to solve that problem by saying that the term "elohiym" is plural and the term "us" in verse 26 is plural because they stand for the Godhead:  Father, Son and Holy Spirit.  Let us allow scripture and the Hebrew manuscript from which the scriptures are derived to instruct us.
 

Gen. 3:22 (KJV): "And the Lord God (Hebrew: 'elohiym) said, Behold the man is beco
me as one of us, to know good and evil."

CONSIDER:  The man has just become "as one of the 'elohiym" by eating from the tree he was instructed NOT to eat from. In other words, by being DISOBEDIENT, the man has become "as one of US" - the 'elohiym, supposedly the Father, Son and Holy Spirit as we were taught before studying the original Hebrew.
 

The man, who before did NOT know he was naked - thus, was in a state of innocence or of ignorance - now knows good and evil after being disobedient and eating from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.  In other words, the man did not become "as one of" the 'elohiym (supposedly the Father, Son and Holy Spirit - as traditional doctrine teaches) by eating from THE TREE OF LIFE but by eating from the tree which would cause DEATH.
 

DO YOU BELIEVE THE 'ELOHIYM COULD THUS BE THE FATHER, SON AND HOLY SPIRIT?
 
 

Psalm 82 (KJV):
 

"God ('elohiym) standeth in the congregation of the mighty; he judgeth among the gods ('elohiym).  How long will ye judge unjustly, and accept the persons of the wicked?  Selah. Defend the poor and fatherless: do justice to the afflicted and needy. Deliver the poor and needy:  rid them out of the hand of the wicked.
 

"They know not, neither will they understand; they walk on in darkness:  all the foundations of the earth are out of course.  I have said, YE ARE GODS ('elohiym); AND ALL OF YOU ARE CHILDREN OF THE MOST HIGH.  BUT YE SHALL DIE LIKE MEN, AND FALL LIKE ONE OF THE PRINCES.   Arise, O God ('elohiym), judge the earth: for thou shalt inherit all nations."
 

Corroborating this scripture is one spoken by Jesus Himself in John 10:33-36:
 

"The Jews answered him, saying, For a good work we stone thee not; but for blasphemy; and because that thou, being a man, makest thyself God. Jesus answered them, Is it not written in your law, I said, Ye are GODS (Hebrew and Aramaic: 'elohiym)?  (The cross-reference for this verse is Psalms 82:6!!)  "If he called them GODS (Hebrew and Aramaic: 'elohiym), UNTO WHOM THE WORD OF GOD CAME [the 'elohiym CANNOT, therefore, be The Father, Son and Holy Spirit as taught], AND THE SCRIPTURE CANNOT BE BROKEN; Say ye of him, whom the Father hath sanctified and sent into the world, Thou blasphemest; because I said, I am the Son of God?"
 

Who are the 'elohiym? You must decide that for yourself.
 

It is not necessary for these pages (nor is it ultimately our desire) to state definitively for anyone whether the 'elohiym are gods or angels, etc.   It is enough to present truth that corroborates who the 'elohiym are NOT.   They are NOT, as stated in Bible translations ALONE  -  with the exception of the Exegeses Parallel Bible, The Father and The Son and The Holy Spirit.
 
 

Webster's Dictionary describes "gods" as beings who have (exercise) "special powers over the lives and affairs of people and the course of nature".As we read scripture, the only two types of beings who manifested "special powers over the lives and affairs of people and the course of nature" (gods) - through direct communication with the Lord or through independent action - are ANGELS and MEN. And the angels - ministering or hindering SPIRITS - HAVE ALWAYS APPEARED AS MEN WHEN SEEN!  I do not mention Satan (who also has angels) for I believe it is scriptural to say that he is one of the 'elohiym (gods).
 

Moses was made an "elohiym" by the LORD!
 

EXODUS 7:1(KJV):
 

"And the LORD said unto Moses, See, I have made thee a god ('ELOHIYM) to Pharaoh: and Aaron thy brother shall be thy prophet."
 

Lee Ellenwood, whose writings have profoundly impacted me through the years, had this to say about "angels":
 

The Hebrew word [for angels] is "malak" or "malakh". The Greek is "aggelos". In both cases the meaning is "one who delivers a message, a messenger".  And that is all.  We have developed a highly unscriptural concept of angels in our day, perhaps from the romanticists of medieval art. An angel may be a human [as we saw above that a human may be 'elohiym - a "god"!] . E.g., the "messenger" that came to Job was a "malak" or "angel" but UNDOUBTEDLY A MAN (Job 1:14). See Tergelles.  In the N.T., John the Baptist sent "messengers" to Jesus (Gr. "aggelos") (Luke 7:24).  These were MEN, two disciples of John (v.19).  The word "men" here could be taken generically to mean personages or persons.  But Mark says (16:5) that there was present a "young man" arrayed in a white robe and sitting by.  Now a "spirit-angel" does not go through a birth and aging process (he is simply created and remains changeless), so this leads us to believe that at least one of the two angels here, the "young man" angel, was one of God's saints "from within the Veil". For the sake of clarity, we have invented the terms, "spirit-angels" and "people-angels" to designate the two classes.  Also, we are coming to believe more and more THAT MANY OF THE ANGELS MENTIONED IN THE SCRIPTURES MAY BE SAINTS SENT BACK FROM THE THRONE ROOM OF GOD TO PERFORM SPECIAL MISSIONS IN THE DIVINE PURPOSE.  Each time the word "angel" is found, the context should be carefully noted.
 

ANGELS, OR "MESSENGERS" IN THE SCRIPTURES MAY BE CREATED SPIRITS, OR THEY MAY BE HUMANS. WE NEED TO UNDERSTAND THIS FACT BECAUSE ANGELS ARE INVOLVED IMPORTANTLY IN THE SECOND COMING OF CHRIST." END OF QUOTE.
 

In corroboration, I place here REVELATION 22:8-10:
 

"And I John saw these things, and heard them.  And when I had heard and seen, I fell down to worship before the feet of the angel which showed me these things.  "Then said he unto me, See thou do it not: FOR I AM THY FELLOWSERVANT, AND OF THY BRETHREN THE PROPHETS, AND OF THEM WHICH KEEP THE SAYINGS OF THE BOOK: WORSHIP GOD."
 

Revelation 21:17 (KJV):  "And he measured the wall thereof, an hundred and forty and four cubits, according to the measure of a man, THAT IS, OF THE ANGEL"!
 

Interestingly - informatively, I believe - the name of one of the chief archangels, GABRIEL, is translated "MAN OF GOD"!  Interestingly, too, Gabriel is a "man of ('el)God  the Almighty - NOT of God(s), the  'elohiym.
 

Is the term "elohiym" (gods) a generic term used for "ANY various beings conceived of as supernatural, immortal and having special powers over the lives and affairs of people and the course of nature"?
 

Are the 'elohiym (gods) ANY specially-empowered MIGHTY spirits and/or men (INVISIBLE AND VISIBLE): "GIANTS IN THE LAND"?
 
 

There are other interesting words and scripture worthy of  consideration which lend great weight to the 'elohiym being other than Father, Son and Holy Spirit, such as Mark 5:2-7.
 

"And when he [Jesus] was come out of the ship, immediately there met him out of the tombs a man with an unclean spirit, who had his dwelling among the tombs; and no man could bind him, no, not with chains: because that he had been often bound with fetters and chains, and the chains had been plucked asunder by him, and the fetters broken in pieces:  neither could any man tame him.  And always, night and day, he was in the mountains, and in the tombs, crying, and cutting himself with stones.  But when he saw Jesus afar off, he ran and worshipped him, and cried with a loud voice, and said, What have I to do with thee, Jesus, THOU SON OF THE MOST HIGH GOD [elyon elyon]?  I adjure (oath, swear) thee BY GOD [Hebrew-Aramaic:  'elohiym, Greek:  theos], that thou torment me not."
 

Here we have a spirit - even one unclean - who KNEW who Jesus was and who His [Jesus'] Father and God was [THE MOST HIGH GOD - elyon elyon] and he [the unclean spirit] swore [adjured] by ANOTHER God ['elohiym, theos].  The meanings of the God the unclean spirit swore by are the Hebrew word "'elohiym" (H430) for God in Genesis 1, 2, and 3 and the Greek word "theos" (g2316):
 

THESE ARE THE WORDS USED FOR THE GOD ('ELOHIYM) OF GENESIS 1:26-27 WHO SAID "LET US MAKE MAN IN OUR IMAGE, AFTER OUR LIKENESS."  BY WHOM THE UNCLEAN SPIRIT SWORE.
 

THESE ARE NOT THE WORDS USED FOR THE MOST HIGH GOD ('EL ELYON or 'ELYON 'ELYON)!   THE FATHER OF JESUS THE CHRIST.
 
 

Scripture comparison is the most useful for confirmation and instruction of difficult to understand passages or words.  There are other illuminating scriptures which serve to give more insight into the identification of the 'elohiym.  It is MOST useful when these scriptures are found in both the Old Testament and the New Testament describing the same event(s):
 

Exodus 31:18 (KJV):  "And HE - singular - gave unto Moses, when HE had made an end of communing with him upon mount Sinai, two tables of testimony, tables of stone, WRITTEN WITH THE FINGER OF GOD  ('ELOHIYM)" - plural.
 

Deuteronomy 9:10 (KJV):  "And the LORD delivered unto me two tables of stone WRITTEN WITH THE FINGER OF GOD ('elohiym!); and on them was written according to all the words, which the LORD spake with you in the mount out of the midst of the fire in the day of the assembly." [refer again to the meaning of "elohiym" above].
 

Galatians 3:19 (KJV):  "Wherefore then serveth the law?  It was added because of transgressions, till the seed should come to whom the promise was made; AND IT WAS ORDAINED BY ANGELS IN THE HAND OF A MEDIATOR."
 

Hebrews 2:2 (KJV):  "For if the word spoken by ANGELS was stedfast, and every transgression and disob
edience received a just recompence of reward;"
 

Acts 7:53 (KJV):  "Who have received the law BY THE DISPOSITION OF ANGELS, and have not kept it."
 

Are the 'elohiym the same as or different from the FATHER, SON AND THE HOLY SPIRIT?
 

If different - WHO ARE THEY? 
 
 

WHO ARE THEY ?  It's worth a revisit to Psalm 82 to remember who the Bible says they are (see the long-
version Bible Study which follows this short version).

In answer to the question of whether the 'elohiym (the God(s) of Genesis 1, 2 and 3 are The Father, Son and The Holy Spirit or are judges as mentioned in Psalm 82 becomes immediately clear in the following scriptures:
 

Exodus 21:6 (KJV):  "Then his master shall bring him unto the JUDGES;..."
 

The Hebrew word for judges here is 'ELOHIYM (gods).
 

Exodus 22:8 (KJV):  "If the thief be not found, then the master of the house shall be brought unto the JUDGES, to see whether he have put his hand unto his neighbor's goods."
 

The Hebrew word for judges here is 'ELOHIYM (gods).
 

Exodus 22:9 (KJV):  "For all manner of trespass, whether it be for ox, for ass, for sheep, for raiment, or for any manner of lost thing, which another challengeth to be his, the cause of both parties shall come before the JUDGES;..."
 

The Hebrew word for judges here is 'ELOHIYM (gods).
 

Both Hebrew and Greek words define JUDGES as:  magistrates, rulers, overseers, officers, superintendents,  those who are chiefs, powers; those who try, condemn, punish, avenge, accuse, litigate, damn, conclude, decree, determine, esteem, go to law, ordain, sentence to, call in question, think and more.
 

CONSIDER:  Satan is the "god ('ELOHIYM/THEOS) of this world" (age): AION!  Contrary to traditional teaching which says he is in Hell tormenting departed souls, he yet has "a place" in Heaven UNLESS THE WAR BETWEEN MICHAEL AND HIS ANGELS AND SATAN AND HIS ANGELS HAS ALREADY TAKEN PLACE AND SATAN HAS BEEN CAST OUT AND HIS PLACE IN HEAVEN FOUND NO MORE.  YET, EVEN IF THIS BE TRUE, HE HAS BEEN CAST DOWN TO EARTH TO TROUBLE "THE WOMAN" - THE CHURCH.  (Rev. 12:7-10)
 

CONSIDER:  Jesus is Son of the Most High God - was the only begotten Son of the Most High God at His birth.  ADAM is the son of God ('ELOHIYM)! (Luke 3:38).  The God Most High and the 'elohiym are different. 
 

CONSIDER:  The first Adam was of the earth, earthy.  The God Most High is Spirit.
 

CONSIDER:  Jesus himself, in John 8:42-44 (KJV) said:  "If God (who, for Jesus, was the Most High God) were your Father, ye would love Me:  for I proceeded forth and came from God;  neither came I of Myself, but He sent Me.  Why do ye not understand My speech? even because ye cannot hear My word.  YE ARE OF YOUR FATHER THE DEVIL, AND THE LUSTS OF YOUR FATHER YE WILL DO.  HE WAS A MURDERER FROM THE BEGINNING, AND ABODE NOT IN THE TRUTH, BECAUSE THERE IS NO TRUTH IN HIM.  WHEN HE SPEAKETH A LIE, HE SPEAKETH OF HIS OWN:  FOR HE IS A LIAR , AND THE FATHER OF IT."  Wonder no more why man needed and needs to be "saved".
 

CONSIDER:  A liar is a "false" witness, a "false" ACCUSER - two of the meanings of "JUDGE".  We know that Satan is "the accuser of the brethren".
 

CONSIDER:  In the Old Testament, the sons of God are mentioned.  In EVERY single instance, they are the sons of 'ELOHIYM!  They it were who "came unto the daughters of men" in Genesis 6 ("left their first estate"?); they it were who came before The Lord in Job 1:6 and Job 2:1 AND SATAN CAME ALSO AMONG THEM - WITH THEM " TO PRESENT HIMSELF BEFORE THE LORD" [Jahn:  "to station himself by The Lord"!]; they it were who "shouted for joy" as the morning stars sang in Job 38:7.
 

CONSIDER:  The term "son of God" is mentioned only ONCE in the Old Testament and it is clearly indicative of Messiah/Christ:  "He answered and said, Lo, I see four men loose, walking in the midst of the fire, and they have no hurt; and the form of the fourth is like THE SON OF GOD" (H426: ELAHH , Chaldean; corresp. to H433:  God [singular]; from H410, 'el:--mighty, strength; espec . the Almighty)---NOT the son of 'ELOHIYM.
 

CONSIDER:  Is "Earth" the realm of "images", "patterns" for the instruction of principalities, powers, etc. in heavenly places?  The "elohiym" - children of the Most High God - being overseers, "the tutors and governors" - guardians - (Galatians 4:2 KJV)?  Their "vain shew" (show) of wisdom in future (after aeons of time) to be compared to the "manifold wisdom" of the Most High God which will be devastatingly instructive to them, one and all---THAT FATHER KNOWS BEST?  WHAT CHILD HAS NEVER THOUGHT, AT SOME POINT IN TIME, THAT HE/SHE KNEW MORE THAN A PARENT [the 'ELOHIYM being the children of the Most High God]?  Their failures - independent actions - ending in the destruction of the old world by flood and in continued "problems" since - man ('adam) being made by them in their image?
 

CONSIDER:  If man is "made" in the image of the 'ELOHIYM, does that mean these "rulers" control the  genetic makeup of man, are archetypes of man's psyche, interact with his conscience?  Galatians 4:2,3 (KJV) says:  "But is under tutors and governors until the time appointed of the Father.  Even so we, when we were children, WERE IN BONDAGE UNDER THE ELEMENTS OF THE WORLD".  Certainly, genes "form", "fashion", "pattern" us - "predispose" us :
 

For me, the most telling scriptures that assure that the 'elohiym who created the earth and Adam in Genesis 1 are NOT the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit are Psalm 8:4-5 and Hebrews 2:6-9.  Again, it is best when scriptures defining the same event occur in both the Old and New Testaments, expanding the understanding which would be limited without each:
 

Psalm 8:4-5 (KJV):  "What is man, that thou art mindful of him? and the son of man, that thou visitest him?  For thou hast made him a LITTLE LOWER [H2637. chacer; TO LACK;  by impl. TO FAIL, (HAVE) LACK, WANT, DESTITUTE, VOID, POVERTY, IN WANT OF, DEFICIENT] than the angels [ THE HEBREW IS GODS, 'ELOHIYM!]...." Is there any reader who believes that man (earthy) was made  only a LITTLE lower than the Most High God (HOLY), Father of Jesus, the Christ?   Put another way, is there any reader who believes that the Most High God, Father of Jesus, the Christ, is only a little higher than man?
 

Hebrews 2:6,7, 9 (KJV):  "But one in a certain place testified, saying, What is man, that thou art mindful of him?  or the son of man, that thou visitest him?  Thou madest him a little lower than the angels; thou crownedst him with glory and honour, and didst set him over the works of thy hands:  but we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels for the suffering of death, crowned with glory and honour; that he by the grace of God should taste death for every man."  If the passages above are correct, the 'elohiym are angels!   Is there any reader who believes, then, that the 'elohiym can be interpreted as being the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit as has been done in English translations of Genesis 1-3?
 
 

One last word using two last scriptures for comparison which should shed much needed light concerning the creation of man - which in turn may shed light on the work of the 'elohiym: 
 

Genesis 1:26 (KJV):  "Let us make man in our tselem..."(original Hebrew)
 

Psalm 39:6 (KJV):  "Surely every man walketh in a tselem..."(original Hebrew)
 

Tselem (Strong's Concordance:  H6754)
Now let us look at the English translations of that word - tselem - for it is the SAME word in both of those scriptures:
Psalm 39:6(KJV):  "Surely every man walketh in a VAIN SHEW".
 

Genesis 1:26(KJV):  "Let us make man in our IMAGE".
 

The word - tselem -  being the same in both sentences would, of course, have the same meaning.  Therefore, how could it possibly be that a "vain shew" would be "in the image" of The Most High God, The Holy Spirit and Jesus, the Christ?
 

It is best to take the Hebrew word, 'ELOHIYM, for what it says it is:  gods, goddesses, magistrates, angels, powers, principalities, etc.   We are now aided by computers which are able to cross-reference before we can even blink our eyes and by transliterations of original manuscripts of scripture.   It is best to let scripture speak for itself and explain itself - culminating in this glorious scripture showing the mystery of the Church hidden from the foundation of the world but revealed to Paul:
 

Ephesians 3:10, 11 (KJV):  "TO THE INTENT THAT NOW UNTO THE  PRINCIPALITIES AND POWERS IN HEAVENLY PLACES MIGHT BE KNOWN BY THE CHURCH THE MANIFOLD WISDOM OF GOD [MOST HIGH], ACCORDING TO THE ETERNAL PURPOSE WHICH HE PURPOSED IN CHRIST JESUS OUR LORD."
 

NO MATTER HOW LIFTED UP ANY CREATURE IS IN PRIDE TO ASSUME HE/SHE IS ABLE TO BE INDEPENDENTLY WISE - WHICH ULTIMATELY MEANS TO ASCEND TO THE THRONE OF GOD MOST HIGH - SOME DAY EVERY KNEE SHALL BOW - WHEN ALL NECKS ARE SUFFICIENTLY BOWED AND ALL SOULS PURGED AND MADE HOLY - AND EVERY TONGUE SHALL CONFESS NOT ONLY THAT JESUS IS LORD - KING OVER ALL KINGS, LORD OVER ALL LORDS  AND THE FIRSTBORN OF EVERY CREATURE (AND DESERVED HEIR OF ALL)  TO THE GLORY OF HIS FATHER, GOD MOST HIGH - BUT THAT:
 

THE ONLY-WISE, OMNISCIENT FATHER KNOWS BEST AND SHALL HAVE HIGHEST  PRAISE...  FROM ALL THAT IS - - KNOWINGLY!
 

AMEN.  EVEN SO, COME LORD JESUS AND TAKE ALL TO FATHER'S HOUSE TO BEHOLD HIM AND TO WORSHIP HIM WITHOUT CEASING.  AMEN.
 
 

"WHAT IN THE WORLD WAS GOING ON IN EDEN - THE GARDEN OF GOD ('ELOHIYM)?"
 

Our bible study group - The Organism - had never paid attention to the trees in the garden.  Eden itself, as we had been taught, held all the alluring promise of future happiness, peace and joy.  The trees, along with all the idea of cultivated plantings and flowers of unimaginable beauty and abundance, were  part and parcel of the glories that awaited those who inherited the heavenly life.
 

It was not until we had at hand the computerized tools which enabled us to "mine" the meanings behind the words of scripture that we began to gain a glimpse of a hidden and mysterious drama that, again, began to make difficult-to-understand passages take shape with breathtaking force.
 

The Holy Spirit was revealing meanings with amazing clarity.  The Hebrew transliterations began to show us that manifold stories were to be understood from the readings and studies of these first chapters which would set the stage for the rest of scripture which followed.  And they would make sense of "the whole" of the Word.
 

We began to learn that the trees were not trees but were "trees"; that plantings were not merely plantings but were "plantings".  That what "the woman" ate to her and Adam's downfall was not an apple, nay, not even a fruit at all.  We delight to open our studies at His bidding:
 

Simply put:  we discovered that the trees and plants in Eden were NOT truly trees but were BEINGS!  And, if we were to believe the meaning of "plant" and "planting", they were BEINGS WITH DOCTRINE.  And, in that they were plantings of diversity, their doctrines were diverse.  THEY WERE THERE "FOR THE TASTING"!
 

Confirmation is to be found in Ezekiel 31!:
 

Ezekiel 31 (KJV):  "And it came to pass in the eleventh year, in the third month, in the first day of the month, that the word of the LORD came unto me, saying, Son of man, speak unto Pharaoh king of Egypt - if we stop to "open" the meaning of each of these words, we would never finish this particular subject! - and to his multitude; Whom art thou like in thy greatness?
 

Behold, the Assyrian was a cedar in Lebanon with fair branches, and with a shadowing shroud, AND OF AN HIGH STATURE; and HIS top was among the thick boughs.
 

The waters made HIM great, the deep set HIM up on high with HER rivers running round about HIS plants, and sent out HER little rivers unto all the trees of the field.
 

To continue:  "Therefore HIS height was exalted above all the trees of the field, and HIS boughs were multiplied, and HIS branches became long because of the multitude of waters, when HE shot forth.  All the fowls of heaven made their nests in HIS boughs, and under HIS branches did all the beasts of the field bring forth their young, and UNDER HIS SHADOW DWELT ALL GREAT NATIONS.
 

"Thus was HE fair in HIS greatness, in the length of HIS branches:  for HIS root was by great waters. The cedars IN THE GARDEN OF GOD ('ELOHIYM) could not hide HIM:  the fir trees were not like HIS boughs, and the chestnut trees were not like HIS branches; nor any tree in the garden of God ('ELOHIYM) was like unto HIM in HIS beauty.
 

"I have made HIM fair by the multitude of HIS branches:  so that all the trees of Eden, that were in the garden of God ('ELOHIYM) ENVIED HIM.
 

"Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD;  Because thou hast LIFTED UP THYSELF in height, and HE hath shot up HIS top among the thick boughs, and HIS HEART IS LIFTED UP IN HIS HEIGHT;
 

"I have therefore delivered HIM into the hand of the mighty one of the HEATHEN; HE shall surely deal with HIM:  I have driven HIM out for HIS wickedness.
 

"And strangers, the terrible of the nations, have cut HIM off, and have left HIM:  upon the mountains and in all the valleys HIS branches are fallen, and HIS boughs are broken by all the rivers of the land; and ALL THE PEOPLE OF THE EARTH are gone down from HIS shadow, and have left HIM.
 

"Upon HIS ruin shall all the fowls of the heaven re
main, and all the beasts of the field shall be upon HIS branches:

"TO THE END THAT NONE OF ALL THE TREES BY THE WATERS EXALT THEMSELVES FOR THEIR HEIGHT, NEITHER SHOOT UP THEIR TOP AMONG THE THICK BOUGHS, NEITHER THEIR TREES STAND UP IN THEIR HEIGHT, all that drink water:  for THEY are ALL delivered unto DEATH, TO THE NETHER PARTS [lowermost part, (fig.) the pit, the womb] OF THE EARTH,  IN THE MIDST OF THE CHILDREN OF MEN,  with them that go down to THE PIT.
 

"Thus saith the Lord GOD; in the day when HE went down to the grave I caused a mourning:  I covered the deep for HIM, and I restrained the floods thereof, and the great waters were stayed:  and I caused Lebanon to mourn for HIM, and all the trees of the field FAINTED for HIM.
 

"I made the NATIONS to shake at the sound of HIS fall, when I cast HIM down to HELL with THEM THAT DESCEND INTO THE PIT:  and all the trees of Eden, THE CHOICE AND BEST OF LEBANON, ALL THAT DRINK WATER, SHALL BE COMFORTED IN THE NETHER PARTS OF THE EARTH .
 

"THEY ALSO WENT DOWN INTO HELL WITH HIM unto THEM that be slain with the sword; and they that were HIS arm, that dwelt under HIS shadow in the midst of the heathen.
 

"To whom art THOU thus like in glory and in greatness among the TREES OF EDEN?  yet shalt THOU be brought down WITH the TREES OF EDEN unto the NETHER PARTS OF THE EARTH:  THOU shalt lie in the midst of the uncircumcised with THEM that be slain by the sword.
 

[DO THESE "TREES" HAVE NAMES?  YES.]
 

"THIS IS PHARAOH AND ALL HIS MULTITUDE, SAITH THE LORD GOD."
 

Be aware that this is NOT speaking of "A" pharaoh, but of PHARAOH(S):  KINGS, i.e., LEADERSHIP, LEADERS, CHIEFTAINS, UNCOVERED HAIR:  HEADSHIP.  MANAGEMENT.  POWER STRUCTURE.  GOVERNING BODIES...WITHIN AND WITHOUT!
 

EDEN:  A PLACE WHERE "THE JOYS OF THE INTELLECT AND OF THE SENSES REIGNED" - BUT NOT THE CELESTIAL, SHEKINAH GLORY OF SPIRIT HOLY...WITHIN AND WITHOUT..

ENVY (JEALOUSY, COVETOUSNESS) AND PRIDE IN THE GARDEN?  NO, ALL WAS NOT WELL THERE.  NONE OF US HAD LEARNED THIS IN SUNDAY SCHOOL.
 

A QUESTION BEGS TO BE ASKED HERE - BUT FIRST, WE STATE AGAIN:
 

THE WORD TRANSLATED "GOD" IN GENESIS 1, 2 AND 3 IS - EVERY TIME WE READ IT - NOT A SINGULAR GOD BUT IS A PLURAL HEBREW WORD MEANING "GODS" WHO MAN BECOMES LIKE BY DISOBEYING THE INJUNCTION NOT TO EAT FROM THE TREE OF THE KNOWLEDGE OF GOOD AND EVIL.  HE DISOBEYED AND BECAME LIKE THE GODS ('ELOHIYM).
 

NOW - THE QUESTION AGAIN :  WHO ARE THEY, THESE "GODS - 'ELOHIYM?
 

I BELIEVE THEY COULD BE THE "GODS OF MAMMON" - SOME OF THE RIGHTEOUS AND SOME OF THE UNRIGHTEOUS - WHO AFFECT ALL ASPECTS OF HUMAN LIFE...WITHIN AND WITHOUT!
 

TO BE SURE, THEY ARE CREATORS; HOWEVER, IT IS BEST TO REMEMBER:  THIS PRESENT CREATION IS NOT THE ONE CREATED "FROM NOTHING" - NOT THE ORIGINAL OR FIRST CREATION!  THE HEBREW WORD FOR "CREATION" IN GENESIS 1 REALLY MEANS TO "TAKE AND MAKE FROM SOMETHING ALREADY EXISTENT".  THIS CREATION IS A PATTERN OF THE TRUE.
 
 
 

O THOU WITH WHOM WE HAVE "TO DO",

"Egypt" epitomizes the NON-spiritual [worldly] efforts of Man - EVERYMAN (US) - to extricate himself (ourselves) from the rigors of Earth life through "SELF-EFFORT".  These efforts take many forms.  Their employments manifest to the "Spirit Realm" the very epitome of the disease of "self-centeredness";  they (we), however, believe themselves (ourselves) to be reasonable, illuminated and wise in their (our) pursuits of Life choices and resolutions:  for themselves (ourselves) and for others "less endowed or less fortunate".  They (we) are sincere and will continue to be so UNLESS SAVED FROM THEMSELVES (OURSELVES).

THE PREVAILING CONDITION OF TODAY'S WORLDWIDE MORAL LIFE IS THE EVIDENCE OF THE ACCUMULATED "WISDOM" [LEANING TO HIS OWN SHALLOW,  TUNNEL-   VISION UNDERSTANDING] OF MAN THROUGH THE AGES:   BANKRUPTCY.
 

"He (Man) strove to heal his wounds by administering what he thought to be antidotes:  but which, when tested, proved inadequate, and, by contrary effects, enhanced his suffering, and if possible, added to his peril.  He used various instruments by which he hoped to discern the pathway leading from his gloomy abode, and to build a passage across the Abyss which encircled him.  But all failed, and he fell back in utter despair.  Then he sought to be reconciled to his fate."

The point to be made about created man is that we are created as worshiping beings.  THAT we will worship is unquestionable.  WHO we will worship is the most important choice of the many to be made during our brief sojourn in Earth's arena. 
 

Seemingly, we are faced with the choice of MANY gods who bid for our favor and for the control of our lives; there are, however, ultimately only two choices:  The Most High God and...(our)self (idolatry).   The Most High God is the choice premiere.  The choice of "the shrine of self" leads to a vast array of gods - idolatrous - seeking to gain entry to the seat of the throne within created to be reserved for God Most High - alone.  Man is HIS creation and it is man's distinct privilege to discover that life-saving truth!
 

There are two temples (BOTH ARE WITHIN AND WITHOUT)!:
 

THE TRUE CHURCH:  NON-denominational, NON-sectarian!  The God Most High dwells in a high and holy place...WITHIN AND WITHOUT!  WE are that temple in which He resides in the Holy of Holies - behind the Veil (flesh)... awaiting FAITHFULLY and LOVINGLY the victorious ends of our personal journeys out of darkness into holiness...incorruptible...undefiled...beyond the reach of change and decay.
 

    ONE TRUE CHURCH:   IN LOVE (unfeigned, with The God Most High; with humanity, her sisters and brethren;  with His creation).  PURE AND HOLY (like her GOD).
 

   ONE TRUE GOD:  LOVE.  ALL-WISE.  ALL-KNOWING.
 

THE OTHER TEMPLE?  BABYLON...FALSE.  WITHIN AND WITHOUT.  Babylon, the false "CHURCH".  Babylon, the adulterous.  Babylon, for whom her allotted GOD-given portion (of the Whole) is not enough.   Babylon, the greedy desirer of "the goods" of the ordained portions of her sisters and brothers.  Babylon, user of her brothers and sisters and The Most High's creation for personal gain.  Babylon, convinced of the excellence of her own intellect, her own desires, her own "beauty": wisdom,  her own unqualified suitability to rule (run), not only her own life, but the affairs of others.  Babylon, home of all the unholy of every institution - religious or secular - and of every persuasion ("ism") and of the gods of every conceivable temptation - IN THE NAME OF THE LORD!  Babylon, WITHIN (us) AND WITHOUT.  Babylon, SELF ENTHRONED...from which we all must be set free.
 

  ONE FALSE CHURCH:  BABYLON
 

  ONE FALSE GOD:  LUST.  COVETOUSNESS.  GREED.  SELF-
PROMOTION.
 

THUS, TWO KINGDOMS - TWO WARRING FACTIONS - WITHIN US AND WITHOUT.
 

OUR CHOICE - Moment by moment,  we are in the  "FIGHT OF OUR LIVES" FOR our lives !
 
 

"The imagination of the natural mind cannot fathom the extent of inner soul struggle through which a man/woman  must pass as he/she undergoes the transforming process of yielding up the natural will to accept the will of the Spirit.  That which Holy Scripture reveals of the suffering and passion of the Lord Jesus is in truth a revelation in depth of the very same death struggle through which every soul must pass if God's will is chosen in preference to that of the old carnal mind.
 

"As you ponder the sufferings of the Lord Jesus Christ, you shall gain insight into your own pain.  That which is of the Spirit must be discerned in the Spirit.  Only in prayer and meditation on the Holy Word can understanding come to your heart, and only thus can you be truly comforted in the depth of the spirit where the suffering occurs.  Had the disciples remained awake through the bitter hours in the garden, they could have given no help.  Alone each man undergoes the death throes of his own shattered ego.  Nothing can remain of self-will if [the full purpose of GOD] is to be accomplished in the life.  Slowly, unrelentingly, he moves to his own Gethsemane of total relinquishment of all his cherished personal hopes and on to his own barren Golgotha.
