Mrs. J. R. Powell, aged 72, of Collinsville, died at a local hospital Saturday at 10 p. m.
after a long illness. 

Funeral services will be held at Pine Grove Sunday at 2 p. m.

Arrangements by James F. Webb.

Services will be held at the Pine Grove church, with the Rev. Messrs. Eugene Stephens
and Harvey Walters, officiating, interment following in the Pine Grove cemetery.

The deceased is survived by husband, J. R. Powell, five daughters, Mesdames W. W. Clay,
Collinsville; A. T. Brown, city; S. E. Gibson, Hattiesburg; R. F. Williamson, Cleveland
and R. M. Simmons, Carthage; three sons, J. F., Burton, Mo., W. R. and Toxey, Collinsville;
one sister, Mrs. J. J. Jones, Ellisville, brothers, J. W. Warren, Sam Fortson, Brownwood,
Texas;  Ben Fortson, Hattiesburg; A. Fortson, Ellisville.

She was a consistent member of the Liberty Baptist church.
