JAMES R. POWELL |
Funeral services for James R. Powell, aged 79, were held from the Pine Grove Baptist church, Monday, at 2 p. m., the Rev. Eugene Stephens officiating. Interment followed in the church cemetery. The death of Mr. Powell occurred at his home in Collinsville after a brief illness. He was a member of the Masonic fraternity and a member of the Baptist church. Mr. Powell was active in civic and business life of the community. Surviving him are five daughters, Mesdames W. W. Clay, T. Brown, Meridian; Ed Gipson, Hattiesburg; Roy Williamson, Cleveland, Miss.; Maurice Simmons, Carthage, Miss.; three sons, J. F. Powell, Bertrand, Mo.; W. R. Powell, Collinsville; J. T.
