Ryan and Reese's baby was born! A healthy baby girl, whom they named Ava Elizabeth (same two names as Heather Locklear and her hubby gave their kid... weird), weighed in at 7 lbs. on September 9, 1999. I will leave the old baby news up here as well since there isn't much new news yet.

It's somewhat ironic that the announcement of Reese's pregnancy came only a short while after "Late Night with Conan O'Brien" joked about what a little Phillippe-Witherspoon baby might look like in their "If They Mated" segment:

Obviously this was taken very light-heartedly by all, even Ryan himself when he appeared on the show later on.

There was somewhat of a rumor that I picked up from ZENtertainment stating that due to her preganancy, Reese might not be participating in American Psycho:

"...Witherspoon has just announced she is carrying his [Ryan Phillippe's] child... No word on whether this will affect her role in the AMERICAN PSYCHO feature film."

This is now not the case though, since she is currently in Toronto filming the movie.
