I have connections to the Teed, Niles, Finch, Howes, Dennis, and Jacob familes to name a few. They were all native to the Trout Creek area at one time or another. My grandmother was the daughter of Chester B. Teed and Minnie Finch, who are buried in the Trout Creek cemetery on the hill. My grandfather was Frank Niles who farmed in the valley for a time, his father was Squire Niles, also a farmer in the area for a time. Squire's wife was Eva Howes, daughter of Jessie Fields Howes.
I am especially interested in finding out about a farm that Squire and/or William Niles owned on Bullock Hill Road. I also have heard that a Thomas Niles owned a farm near Pine Swamp Road or Tacoma Road. Can anyone provide more information or pictures of these farms?
I don't know too much about the photograph's below. I am looking for anyone one that can give me more information about the various views, or the history of Trout Creek in general. I would also love to hear any old stories about Trout Creek life. If you have any information or PHOTOGRAPHS please e-mail me at genealogy@sniles.de
