JOURNALS
I have been in GERKO Kembara (an Outdoor Co-Curriculum Club)IPDA for a few years. We have gone to many places; for caving we went to Gua Kelam, Gua Wang Burmah in Perlis, Gua Telinga in National Park, Gunung Keriang in Kedah, for jungle trekking we went to Gunung Jerai and Gunung Kemerlong in Kedah, water-based activities we went to Pantai Merdeka, Lata Mengkuang, Tasik Pedu/ Pedu Dam in Kedah, Tasik Meranti (not Tasik Melati!) in Perlis, for backpacking and camping we trailed to Pulau Tuba, Pantai Tengkorak in Langkawi, Bukit Wang and for cycling expedition we went to Puncak Janing (after 8 hours of cycling).
All these activities are wonderful and very challenging. It strengthen the trainees mind in becoming independent and reselient. Furthermore, with  activities such as abseiling, blindman's trail, etc.
As for my personal satisfaction climbing Gunung Kinabalu is a memorable experience as all in my life I never stop for a deep breath after 10 steps of walking. This happened at the top of Kinabalu....Low's Peak.
My experience at Gunung Kinablau is exciting. The wind was colder than winter in UK. The granite at the its peak is sharp. It is worth to climb again. It is an experience of different kind in The National Park. Foresty?

Caving gives you some fun....wriggling your way through narrow passages, crawling, wading neck-deep water, and finally grasping for air. The reward is the splendid work of art; the stalagmites and stalactites.Hope someday you will join us; appreciating the environment, internalising the beauty of nature and enjor life to its fullest.
