ELECTROFISHING
Electrofishing is the use of electricity generated by dry-cell batteries, electric generators, or other sources of electric power. These are used to kill, stun, disable or render unconscious fish or other aquatic organisms in fresh and saltwater areas.
AMMONIUM NITRATE
This technique is seen asan alternative to dynamite.  It is made from a type of fertilizer (used by mango growers) to manufacture various homemade bombs.  It is cheap, widely available and easy to turn into explosives.  The fishermen simply takes the moisture out of the nitrate by heating it in a frying pan, putting the dry matter in an empty bottle or tin can, and fixing it with a blasting cap.  Addording to fishermen, they can make 12 regular-size bombs for the price of three sticks of dynamite.
