Novice:
Any competitor who has no previous experience in grappling and has trained for less
than 1 year or 45 classes.Yellow or Orange Belt in Judo, white belts and/or with one
stripe in Brazilian Jiujitsu.
Intermediate:
Any competitor who has had experience in grappling and has trained for more than 1
year or 46 classes. Qualifications are a wrestler with tournament experience. Judo under a
brown belt or white with two or more stripes in Brazilian Jiujitsu.
Advanced:
Any competitor with considerable grappling experience and has trained for a number
of years. Qualifications are Brown and Black in Judo, Blue belt and above in Brazilian
Jujitsu or wrestlers with provincial ranking past or present.
Categories will be added for higher levels of Jiujitsu
should need arise! Categories are subject to change based on the number of
competitors participating.

I, the undersigned, do hereby
voluntarily submit my application for attendance and participation and do hereby assume
full responsibility for any and all damages, injuries or losses that I may incur, if any,
while attending or participating in the West coast Open Jujitsu Tournament. I hereby waive
all claims against the promoters or sponsors of said tournament individually or otherwise,
for any damages, injuries, or losses that I may sustain or incur. I fully understand that
any medical treatment given me will be of the first aid type only. I consent that any
pictures furnished by me or any pictures taken of me in connection with the tournament can
be used for publicity, promotion or television showing now or in the future, and I waive
compensation in regard thereto. I have read and fully understand the above waiver. (If
