Centre for Electronics Design and Technology (CEDT) SAS Nagar was established in 1989 by the Department of Electronics, Govt. of India. It is located in 10 acres of land in Electronic Township of Punjab (Mohali). SAS Nagar (Mohali) is the satellite town of "The City Beautiful-Chandigarh".

CEDT SAS Nagar holds two distinctions :

* Only ISO 9002 certified institute under Department of Electronics.

* Director General Mr. R.S. Khandpur is the founder-director of this institute.
