WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW. . .

Registration is free to all residents of Mason
County.  Nonresidents must pay an annual fee of 
$5.00 unless they are a student of a Mason 
County school.  Children must be 6 years of age 
to receive a library card.

Books, Audiotapes, and Magazines may be checked 
out for a two week period and may be renewed
unless they are on a waiting list.  Patrons must
be 18 years old in order to check out videos and 
music CD's.  Videos may be checked out overnight, 
limited to two per household.  The Music CD's 
are checked out for a two week period.  There is
a limit of 10 items per card and patrons must 
have their library card with them in order to 
check out materials.  Telephone renewals are 
accepted on all materials with the exception of 
videos.

The overdue fines for late books, audiotapes, 
Music CD's and magazines is .05 per day.  The fine 
on videos is $2.00 per day per tape.  Lost and
damaged materials must be paid for so that the 
library is able to replace these items.
