Oh Boy! Are you ready for this? Scott, Bob, Clint and Dave
LIME February 1999

sink their teeth into questions sent in by LIME readers!
Who is Serious Moffatt, Shy Moffatt, Funny Moffatt, etc?
Bob - Clint is Shy Moffatt! (Wickedly) He used to be really shy,
but now he's kinda come around.
Scott - But in interviews, Dave has to be the shyest!
Dave - (Violently disagreeing) I'm not shy anymore! Not at all! Not at all! (Mumbles frustratedly under his breath)
Clint - Bob's the funny one.
Scott - I'm probably a mixture of serious and funny.
Clint - I'm the talkative one - but not in interviews!
Clint, your lips are always so glossy. Do you use any lip gloss?
(Others snicker loudly)
Clint - No, I'm the only one that pretty much doesn't wear lip gloss. (Amazed)
I've never been asked that question before!
Dave - (Helpfully) I have to wear it 'cos my lips get chapped easily!
Any plans to attend university in the future?
Scott - Yes. Actually, we have money going to trust funds for our college education.
I plan to study music and maybe astronomy!
Bob - I'd probably study music. I already know it, so it'll be easy!
Clint - I might take up sports.
Dave - I'll take music and art.
If you had the opportunity to duet with Hanson, would you do it?
Clint - Before Hanson there are alot of bands we grew up listening to who have been
very influential to us : The Beach Boys, The Beatles, Byran Adams... Those people would definitely come into our
minds first. But we haven't met Hanson yet so we don't know what they're like, if
they're nice guys. If it's a cool song, you never know what you can do in the future!
Is it true Scott has a girlfriend in Sweden?
Scott - (Firmly) No, it's not true. I do not have a girlfriend in Sweden.
Do you guys check your reflection when you walk past a store window?
Clint - That would be Scott!
Bob - Clint does it, too!
Dave - (Meanly) look at Scott, what is there to look at?
Scott - (Snappishly) Alot!
Clint - (Explaining) You gotta be very professional, you can't look bad in front of the public.
You never know if people are gonna be looking at you, so if you can fix something to make you look better
then why not do it?
Dave - Scott checks himself out whenever there's a reflection...
Scott - Well, you don't check anything so that goes to show what you look like!
Are you guys recording a new album?
Clint - We're going to record it in the fall of '99. It's going to be wicked, hyper, fresh!
It'll still be rock/pop but it's gonna be a little edgy 'cos you gotta grow and change.
Bob - We've written all the songs for it already but we haven't recorded it yet.
Can you tell us more about the hidden track 'Frustration' from your CD Chapter 1:A New Beginning?
Scott - I wrote that song with my dad and it's about how a guy is out in an insane asylum without any reason
and he's frustrated. He's really sane but people think he's insane. The song's also about how
a teenager sometimes feels locked up in his own world and wants to break free. Have I ever felt like that?
Oh yeah! I think every teenager does.
What kind of girls do you go for? And do you mind going out with a girl older than you?
Scott - Oh no! The older the better, baby! (Chuckles) I wouldn't mind going out with Miss World even though
she's older than me...Oh! put in a good word for me! Stick it in your mag that Scott Moffatt
would like to go out with Miss Singapore!
Dave - I like a girl I can have a good laugh with. It would be weird to go out with
girls more than two years older than you! But when you get older aand experience what true love is,
and if you find a girl that's nice, it doesn't matter if she's 10 years older than you.
Clint - I'd like a girl I can share laughter with, a girl with the same interests.
Bob - I think a girl your age is ideal to go out with. If she's older, that's cool. But you have to be mature to go out
with an older girl 'cos they're obviously gonna be very mature. I think all girls are beautiful in their own way.
Black hair, blond or red! They're awesome, all of 'em!
