I changed my mind and became a moffatt fan!
I've thought dave moffatt was cute for long time..but I'd never dare tell anyone. Because..well Moffatts Isn't exactly something to be proud of in my social group! I even kept that from my best friend. I continued to "diss" the moffatts along with her.(even though at the same time she liked Scott secretly). I've been a reader of Bravo since the start of 98, initally for the Backstreet Boys, Now I do enjoy reading about the moffatts. I even taught myself the german language, Hey ,, I mean you gotta do what you gotta do! Anyway last spring(98) Moffatts released one of the new singles off their New album. So when I was at virgin megastore one day in vancouver, I decided to buy the single(at a superb deal of $3.99) later that night I played moffatts on my stereo secretly,,I really enjoyed myself actually! In the summer, Moffatts came to Vancouver Breakfast and Lougheed mall in Burnaby. I decided to go with one of my friends who lived by the mall. So we met up to go see the moffatts for fun. Well we first went to the autograph session. I was freaked that the TV channel would see me there!!! Eventually we got in. I decided to write my message to dave,because I thought he looked best. (it was about how my second cousin use to play for the vancouver canucks with their godfather dave babiych) So I came up to dave. I was like ..woah. he's pretty cute! So I handed him the paper. and some lady took it!. I was like Uh No! So I took it back from her! and I said "here you go" with a nice smile to dave(like he'd read it anyway!) so dave and I were just looking at each other.. and he was smiling..it was really strange. and I dunno what happened... but we were holding the whole line up!! I had to run past everyone else! then the news camera almost got me so I covered my face! After that we got to go to the mall's roof so we could watch the concert. it was a sure teeny-bopper session with about 200 kids. either 5 years old with mom ,,or 13 begging for Clint. I was like. Whoopee! So I was standing right behind dave's keyboard.like Inches! I thought..ohh what a cool concert spot! but then the evil man made me move. he is the mall director. he is evil.!!! So I stood against a wall instead! then the moffatts got there and everyone screamed!! it was really hot! the sun was burning! They only had a piece of a drum kit., a acoustic guitar, a bass guitar, a electric guitar and a keyboard. I was suprised what those guys could do with it once they started to play. It sounded even better than a CD! I was extremely shocked how this sounded Soooooo good!!! Then dave came in the audience and took gifts and balloons from the little kids. I was having such a good time!!! I recorded 3 of their songs ...even though I only knew that one..."I'll be there for you". After the concert I was really thinking that these guys had talent and were pretty cool. I made plans to go see them in august but I ended up getting sick so I had to miss out. Tonight they came to vancouver for a concert. My friend and I really wanted to go but we had bad luck and we missed out on getting tickets. It's a shame..but they will be coming back this summer ,,and I'm going to go see them then. I even record moffatt programs now! My fave song is "Girl of my dreams" it's a really excellent song. I think it's so cool! also I like "miss you like crazy" and "I'll be there for you" But the best thing about the moffatts now are the hard rock songs and the fact that their voices broke, it makes them sound sooo much better. and way cool. I will defenately buy the next album. coz their voices sound good!
