This is some of the pics I took during the
big ice storm that hit our area in January.
The storm hit us on January 5th, 1997 and
we suffered freezing rain off and on for 5 days.
They said the average tree was holding 2000 lbs of ice.
The weight downed power lines and crumpled hydro towers.
Many people were without power for weeks.
The trees we lost will be a constant reminder
for years to come.
