Knocking at the Door

One day a little bug came knocking on my door
he said to me,"My name is Anger. Let me in."
I put him off, but still he came
finally, I let him in

we had coffee and became great friends
before long Anger was all I thought about
he was what I lived for

my life began to crumble at my feet
but Anger said,"It will be fine. Trust me."
I kept on doing as he said
soon realizing something had to change

then another bug came knocking at my door
he told me,"My name is Love. May I come in?"
Anger said,"Love is no good. Don't let him in!"

I took another look and slamed the door
Love sadly shook his head
everyday Love would ask me to let him in
and everyday I would listen to Anger

finally, out of curosity, I let Love in
Anger backed down
slowly I stopped talking to Anger
Love and I became great friends

Ane day Anger left for good
Love pulled up a chair

every once in while Anger comes back
he promises me so much
but I know he is lying

when, on a rare occasion
Anger gets the best of me
Love is always there to help me up
comfort and give me support

now I know when Anger comes
don't listen to him
I listen to Love,
the BEST bug of all.
