The Celtic Knot

A celtic knot is always made of one, long thread-the thread of life. The Celts believed that the human soul was a fragment of the divine which would ultimately return to it's divine source. It would rid itself from all impurities through successive rebirths (reincarnation), until it reached perfection.

The interlaced knotwork patterns, with their unbroken lines, symbolize the process of mans spiritual growth.
