Set List:
As far as a set list goes....I was only able to see the second set. The list given to me by the band, I was not able to understand what was written. They did originals the first set and a combination on the second. They did covers by such bands as: Korn, Limp Bizkit, and Orgy, as well as originals.
The first thing that comes to mind when thinking back on this band is: THEY KICK ASS!!!!! From what I heard of the first set, the sounds coming from the stage were killer. I was able to finally sit down and watch the second set. I could see that they really knew what they were doing. There was a flow from each instrument to the singer and vice versa. They really sounded professional, like they had been playing together for years and had toured around the world, which they someday might. This is a band that works well together and has fun doing what they love best, making music.
If you like loud music, you'll love this band. Troof, the singer, has a certain kind of stage presence that grabs a person and doesn't let go. He goes from serious thrash to goofing off on stage, which I feel is a great combination. He also spoke to the audience with funny commentary throughout the show. The audience appeared captivated by the band, the music, and the show going on up on the stage. I am not just talking about the music part of the show. Troof also got the audience to participate during some of the songs that they did during the second set.
I feel that the whole show was very good. At the end of the second set they did a funky version of that Ricky Martin song, which had the whole crowd jumping and laughing along. I
I feel that this band is a MUST see. I will keep all of you posted as to the next time Simon Barr Sinister will be playing. That way anyone out there interested in seeing this great band will get the chance.
