Graduated from and Television institute of India, whose alumni are held high in the world of cinema
for their creativity and originality.

Started career as a cinematographer to realize cinematic art. Did the cinematography for 35 feature
films and 41 documentaries in Hindi, Tamil and Malayalam languages for prominent film makers of
India. Some of the much talked about films are "RAKH", "RUDALI", "GARDISH",
"DARMIYAN" and "DIL SE…", (Hindi), "THALAPATHI", "INDIRA" and "IRUVAR", (in
Tamil), "ROJA", (Tamil/Hindi), "KAALAPANI" and "PERUMTHACHAN" (Malayalam).

Started debut as a director with a short film "Story of Tiblu" (60 min.) for Films Division, India. In
1988. Received National Award in 1988, for Best Short Fiction Film.

In 1995, he made "HALO", a Children’s Film for National Council of Children and Young people,
India. This received rave reviews in press and T.V. Channels and received National Award for Best
Childrens’ Film, 1996.

"THE TERRORIST" (in Tamil) is the first feature film as director. It
depicts the story of a suicide bomber. After the overwhelming success of
"HALO" internationally; the research for this project started with a
committed team of technicians including two students from the department
of Visual Communication, Loyola College, who have been referred by
their department to study under this film-maker for practical knowledge of
cinematic art.
