Nonschetto Kay Crossover2 11\22 Pt.4 *1* California, Sunnydale...1998 Alexis was nervous about her first day at this highschool. She was only a freshman and she was from New York. She and her twin brother Alexander were living with their aunt because their parents worried for their safety. She thought she could take care of herself and she knew her brother could. Sighed as the bell that indicated homeroom rang. A teacher walked to the front of the room. "Hello, my name is Ms. Walsh. I would like to welcome you to the school year 98-99. Our principle Mr.Flutie would like to welcome our new freshman especially." Alexis read a book under her desk, while Alexander played chess with himself on a piece of paper. The next bell rang and they separated as they went to class. Alexis's first class was a tenth grade biology class. She was the youngest in the class, but she was used to that. She was assigned a lab partner named Willow who seemed to very quiet. they exchanged phone numbers as they were told in case one was absent. They had no opportunity to talk. Alexander's first class was a tenth grade global studies class. He sat next to a confused young man named Xander. Xander seemed good hearted though. At lunch the twins went to the library. It was empty when they arrived so they searched on their own. Alexis sat in front of the science fiction section while Alexander planted himself in front of the fantasy. They were both in the far corner. They heard a few people walk in and mischievous as they were, listened to the conversation. Alexis made the sound carry easily to them. "Giles, not tonight." a blonde girl about a year older than them complained. An older man sighed. "Buffy, you must train if you are to stay ahead of the vampires, demons, witches, and other evils you as the Slayer are supposed to fight." Willow laughed silently. She was plain and proper looking, a stereotypical nerd. "He's right, you know." Xander jumped as Buffy tapped him on the shoulder. "Huh?" "Do I get any support from you? Thanksgiving is coming and I want to prepare. Not fight possessed turkeys." Buffy said. He shrugged. "I don't know..." Buffy swatted him on the head and sat at the nearest table. "None of you are any help." The bell rang and they trooped out. Alexis raised an eyebrow at her brother and sent, ^Fascinating.^ ^Indeed.^ he sent back and they headed to class. * * At home the twins went to their respective activities. Alexis sat down to call her friend Madison and Alexander went to play computer games. Madison wasn't home and the computer was broken needing a part Alexander couldn't get till at least tomorrow so they decided to explore the neighborhood. Their Aunt smiled. "If you weren't Jean's children I'd say 'no" but I know you can take care of yourself. Have a good time and be back to cook dinner." They agreed and left. It was four and already getting dark. They stopped by a forest and were going to turn back when they heard a familiar sound. They turned to see a medium sized sentinel watching them. In unison they blocked themselves out. Alexis stopped all sound around them so it couldn't hear them and Alexander bent the light so it would appear they weren't there. While the large robot computed that they flew up to it's shoulders. They started reprogramming it. It finally found them and began to shake them off because it's arms already didn't work. Alexis finished her job and admired it. She then was tossed off. She wasn't hurt too badly and soon Alexander was finished. The sentinel computed it's new orders and flew upwards toward the sun. Alexander knelt next to his twin. "Are you alright?" Alexis nodded and examined the bruise forming on her leg. "Dad is not going to be happy." * * The next day in the school library Alexis went online. She sent Madison a quick message. "Are in California. Having great time. Beat up on a sentinel. Got yelled at by dad. Be back soon. C-ya!" She turned when she heard someone come in. she smiled at her lab partner Willow. "Hi." Willow seemed surprised that someone besides her frequented the library. "Hello,...." she said trying to remember the girl's name. "My name is Alexis, but my friends call me Alex." she smiled. "You can call me Alex." She and Willow began to talk about how decrepit the school computers were. The blonde girl walked in. She smiled behind Willows back. It was good that Willow have more friends. Buffy grinned. "Hi Willow I was wondering if you wanted to come to the Bronze with me tonight." Willow smiled. "Alex and I were going to hang out at her house." "She can come with us." Buffy suggested. Alex nodded. "From what I've heard the Bronze is a well populated club. It sounds diverting." Buffy sighed inwardly. This was the perfect friend for Willow, big words and all. It could be a long night. When she invited Xander he asked if he could bring his friend Alic. She agreed and they all set a meeting place. * * They met at the corner by the school around eight. Buffy looked between Alex and Alic. "You are twins." she stated. "Indeed." they said in unison. They both had reddish brown hair though Alex's was more red and Alic's more brown. They were the same height and had the same face. "I am Buffy Summers, a sophomore. I moved here not too long ago." she told them. The twins smiled inwardly, remembering the overheard conversation. Indeed. As they passed a stereotypical deserted wooded area Alic noticed several figure moving through the trees. He sharpened the image an noticed they all had fangs. After a few moments telepathic discussion with Alex about what to tell Buffy , Alex sighed. "Buffy." Alex said and stopped walking. "What?" Buffy asked, turning. "We know you are the Slayer and that it is your job to kill vampires." Alex said calmly. "What are you talking about?" Buffy asked condescending, but with a hint of fear. "Several vampires are following us. Alic saw them and alerted me. I can hear them very well." Alex stated. Buffy went to asked another question but they were attacked. Buffy fought with inhuman speed and skill. The vampires failed to notice the others due to the twins interference. After a few moments when the fight was over Buffy regarded the twins with suspicion. "What are you?" Alic answered. "In New York people with a certain gene mutation have been standing out. It is happening everywhere else, just slower. Our parents are part of a group fighting for equal rights between humans and those who are now being called mutants. I have control over light. Alex has control of sound. We were sent to live away from our parents for safeties sake." Buffy nodded slowly. "My identity as a Slayer is a secret." Alex nodded. "Obviously, we are known as Sonar and Spectrum. Now you know our secret identities." Willow and Xander relaxed. "You two have to be the most calm people I've ever seen learn that vampires and such are real." "We knew. You should meet apocalypse." Alex said. "Don't ask. it's not important." *2* Alex and Alic waited in front of the school after classes. They heard, ^Hey, guys!^ They turned to see a certain sixteen year old red head. She grinned. "How have you been?" she asked verbally. "We are well." Alic answered. Madison enveloped Alex in a hug. "I've missed you. Heard about the Sentinel from Cyclops. He was certainly pissed." Madison suddenly looked toward the school doors and growled low in her throat. Alex turned to see Buffy also growling in low tones. Giles, Buffy's Watcher, watched in worry. Alex grabbed Madison's arm. "What is it, Sonny?" "What is she?" Madison ground out. "She sets off all my danger alarms and I can't read her." Alic walked to Buffy. "You have to talk to her. We can't tell about you and I won't have friends killing friends." Giles took control. "Back to the library, all of you." he ordered. * * They all sat with as much space between the two girls as possible. Giles turned to Madison. "What are you?" She smiled. "I am a mutant with the ability to absorb and share others talents. I recently became an immortal with five thousand years experience." Giles nodded slowly. "I think I understand what has happened. At one time it was a Slayer's job to kill immortals. However, about a thousand years ago the Slayer's refused finding honorable immortals. The two groups have always avoided each other." Buffy looked very uncomfortable. "So we should try to overcome this feeling?" "Yes, in a fight I hate to say it, but an immortal would most likely win." Giles said. Buffy nodded and stood. "Very well, for now I won't bother her as long as she doesn't bother me." She walked out. Madison shrugged and turned to Alex. "So, take me home. I'm famished." * * They were staying for two weeks so Madison stayed with the twins rather than Duncan. They still trained regularly. Because of the power from Methos she needed very little training. She was walking back to the twins house when she felt the buzz. Her hand rested on the sword hidden in her coat. She turned to the again stereotypical deserted wooded area and saw a man. He was tall with dark hair pulled into a ponytail. He was large and well built. He eyed her. "It would be so very easy to kill you, too easy. It would be so much more fun to play. what do you say, little one?" He spoke with a strange russian accent. He was strong and powerful with experience more than half hers. however, he used it then. She just shared from someone else. That was a big difference. She didn't answer verbally, but drew her sword. It was answer enough. He chuckled. "Have it your way, little one. I'll ask again when my sword is at your throat." He attacked and she barely managed to block it. "See, you are no match!" She knew she could defeat him using her mutant powers, but would that be cheating? She considered as she fought. It wasn't that she needed training, she reflected, just experience. REal experience. She fell to the ground with her arm broken a her sword a few feet away. She winced and saw that she couldn't get to it. He laughed, "Have no fear, I don't kill young immortals. It is better to wait until they acquire a respectable amount of power." It was a good thing he didn't realize just how much power she had. She knew he wouldn't kill her, but also knew what he would do. It had been done several times before and she wasn't going to let it happen again. She made up her mind and put out her hands. "Leave me be or regret it." "So she can talk." he laughed. "What are you going to do? Hit me?" She shrugged. "Have it your way." Then she let a blast of energy from her hands that was ten times Jubilee's power at her age. He felt to the ground, stunned. He glared. "Witch!" She telekinetically grabbed her sword. Before he could regain his strength she deprived him of his head. Mist rose up out of his body and lightning bolts of his power hit her. She absorbed it and then collapsed to the ground in exhaustion. She hated death, no matter how violence prone she was. She stood weakly and then felt herself slammed against a tree. "Murderer, I see why we Slayers killed your kind as well!" Madison was too weak to fight off Buffy. "It was him or me." she said. "There can be only One." "Yes, Giles told me about that. The whole bunch of you are murderers." Buffy spat. Madison then laughed. "You have no idea. Yes, I am a murderer. I killed my mother when I was five. I killed a man when I was fifteen. I killed another tonight. Now what, kill me too? Join the trend?" "I kill only with cause." Buffy told her imperiously. "As do I." Madison said with such sincerity that Buffy released her. "I discovered I was a mutant when I turned five and found I could make fire. I went to show my mother, but I lost control of it and burned the house down. She died, but I lived. My father sent me to live with my grandparents. after that burned as well he sent to a mental institution with inflammable rooms. He paid a guard to keep an eye on me and told me he would burn me to death if I ever left. I lived there for ten years, raised by the prisoners and the guards, often abused by both. The mutants were to be sent away to someplace worse so I planned the breakout for a young mutant. As we were escaping The guard caught me. He raped and shot me. Then I burned him to death. I lived with mutants for a year gaining powers. I was adopted by one. I became immortal. I was taught to kill because they would kill me. I don't care about the Game or taking heads but if it is between me or them I choose me. Understand?!" Buffy nodded slowly. "I'm sorry,....." She turned to walk away. "I never knew a Slayers power felt so good." Madison told her. She whirled. "What do you mean?" "By you touching me, I have absorbed your power. I am thinking we are equally matched in that regard. I will defend myself." she stated. "Tell me now if you want to fight at some later date." Buffy shook her head. "As of now I have no reason and I don't want to. But if you should break the Slayer's law, you will be hunted as anyone else would." Then she walked away. *3* Madison picked up the man's fallen sword. It was too dark to see it well, but she could feel that it had something inscribed on it. She sent a quick message to Alex and headed back to Duncan's hotel. Duncan felt Madison's buzz at the door. As she walked in he saw she was bloody and exhausted. "What happened?" he asked. She handed him the sword and collapsed onto his bed to heal. "Do you know who's sword this is?" "No, I don't know whose it was. But he was old." she said wearily. "This is from the man who was once Lancelot. He took Excalibur once Artur died." he told her. She sat up. "You are telling me that this is Excalibur." He nodded. "Congratulations, you won it. It's better than the one you have now. It must have been a hard fight." She laughed. "It was not bad until the Slayer showed and called me a murderer." "Slayer? I heard they stopped bothering us." Duncan said. "Let's just say that this one had no such belief. I took care of it. We have an uneasy peace." Suddenly a woman appeared. She regarded them calmly. "I have business with you Madison. It regards your past and future." "Who are you?" Madison asked. "I am an ally of Cassandra. It is necessary that you learn who you are. She will tell you but you must go now." Pluto said. "And how will we get to her?" Madison asked. "I will make a portal." Pluto stated. Madison shrugged. "Why not, my life can't get much weirder. What is your name?" "I am Sailor Pluto." "Like the Sailors Storm met. Fine lets go." She walked into a glowing spot and vanished. Duncan sighed and thought of the Chinese curse, "May you have an interesting life." * * They appeared in a room with walls of metal. Cassandra sat in a chair wearing a type of colorful tunic and tights. "Madison, it is good to see you." Madison nodded. "What is going on? I barely know you." Cassandra smiled and stood. "I have a tale to tell you." Madison found a chair behind her and sat down. "Okay...." "Many, many years ago a group of people who were both psionicaly and scientificly advanced were chased off Earth. They headed to the stars where they set up a thriving civilization in the ruins of the Silver Millennium. These people rated themselves by psionic talent. T-1's were the highest. These were called Primes. They were the one's in charge. There were a couple where both were Primes. they had a baby who was said to have the potential to be the most powerful Prime ever. The baby was one day taken by the Guardian of Time. She told the parents that you would return later when you were needed. They were heartbroken and the mother followed the child to earth, but couldn't find her. She took on the personality of an earth immortal. She waited until the time when you would arrive. One day she found one who had caused her immortal persona much pain in the past. With him was the Prim who interceded by showing each others feelings and making them talk it out. Because of this many bad choices were avoided. That Prime is you and the mother me. Your name was Flame for your red hair. I've been searching for you." Madison was shocked and speechless. Pluto interrupted. "You must teach her. Time is short." Cassandra nodded. "You have T-1 power in telepath, telekinetic, finder, and healer. You are also T-1 in teleportation. I must teach you." An hour later she was teleporting like she was born to. Pluto nodded. "There is a gathering we must attend. The forces of light will soon battle the force of darkness. The light gathers and so does the dark. We must prepare." ******
