FORMER WABASHA COUNTY PIONEER PASSED AWAY

Thomas J. MALLOY, former Wabasha county resident, passed away at his home in Minneapolis last week. His remains were brought to Lake City for burial in the family lot in St. Mary's cemetery on last Thursday. Oct. 17 (1929)

Mr. MALLOY was past eighty years of age. He is survived by his wife, one daughter, Mrs. L.E. BECKLEY, and four sons, John, Frank, Thomas and Vernon and three grandchildren, all of Minneapolis.

Services were held in the Incaranation Church of Minneapolis and the remains brought here for interment.

Minnesota Pioneer Dies at Home of Daughter in Minneapols; Ill four Months

Thomas J. Malloy, 89 years old, a former resident of Reaads and Wabasha, died at 6:15 p.m., Tuesday, Oct 15, at the home of his daughter, Mrs. M.E. BECKLEY, in Minneapolis, He had suffered for four months with complications incident to old age,

Born in Vermont March 1, 1845, Mr. Malloy came to Reads in 1857 and worked on the Mississippi River as a lumberman for many years. He later moved to Wabasha and lived here until 1881, when he went to Stevens, Minn. On Nov 26, 1879, he was married to Catherine READY at the Catholic Church in LAKE City.

His widow, a daughter, Mrs. M.E. BECKLEY, Mpls; four sons, John, Thomas and Vernon of Mpls and ;Frank of Oakland Calif., and two sisters, Mrs. Marcella MCDONALD, Kimberly, Wis. and Mrs. Mary E. SIMON, St. Paul, survive.

Mrs. SIMON was the wife of Theodore SIMON who was engaged in the livery business in Wabasha for many years.

Funeral services were held in the Church of the Icrnation, in Minnepolis Thurday, Oct 17, ad interment was in St. Mry's cemetery at Lake City.

Mr. MALLOY was the oldest member of the Reads Landing Association of the Twin Cities and was one of the liveliet in attendance at the annual meeting April 6, --. He will be missed by a large number of friends here and in Reads
