Took the land warrent he inherited from his father Hack Popplewell and claimed land at Wolf Creek! In 1806 Isaac Popplewell appointed to be surveyor of part of the road leading from Buckhannon's foding on the Cumberland River to intersect the road leading from Moses Manns to Biardstorwn, which lies between the said river and Wolf Creek. On Nov. 8, 1803 Isaac "Popwell" made proof for 78 acres on Wolf Creek, Kentucky. Please note that this is Wolf Creek that runs into the Cumberland River, not Wolf Creek that is on the Northern portion of Kentucky on the Ohio River.

Grave is located in Popplewell Cemetery which is located in Section 26,
Township 39 North, Range 15 West of Glaize Township. Leave Brumley
to the East on 42; turn off on 42-18; cross swinging bridge (about 2 mi);
turn Right at next gravel road; cross second swinging bridge; continue on .5 mile to a narrow road that leads off to the right. Continue about .15 mile further until you see a trail that leads off to the northwest. Cemetary is located at the base of a large cedar tree approximately 2700 feet from the county road and about 100 yards northeast of an old house
foundation. The trail above connects with a trail that leaves the
narrow road which is .5 a mile from the swinging bridge. After they
meet trail should continue on northward nearly to the lake. Cemetery is
marked on the map at the Lake of the Ozarks State Park Headquarters.
There are Four marked Graves in the cemetery--Sovereign Popplewell,
Polly his wife , Lena Dell Reed a granddaughter--the daughter of
Margaret Popplewell and George Reed. and an J.L. Hale--Co. K Osage Co.,
