In the brisk night air of Japan, two fun-loving Digimon are abound. In a busy intersection two voices argue. "You've never been in the real world before."
"What's the difference? I've never driven a car before either!"
"Well it's my first time too."
Two small Digimon are there on top of a car. The car stops in front of a red light and many people cross, without noticing the two odd looking 'children' on top of the car. "Whoa, check them out." The two Digimon introduce each other and we find out:
"Pumpkinmon is the right guy to teach them what fun really is, without doubt the collest creature that has a pumpkin for a head. Remember, chick dig evil Digimon." Pumpkinmon is pretty much the same size as the Rookie forms of Digimon. Pumpkinmon has a big pumpkin for a head and an axe on top of it. He wears a green cape and has a 'stuffed' white body.
"Gotsumon you are the mon. We'll have such a blast they'll name a monument after you." Gotsumon is the same size as Pumpkinmon and is fully made out of rocks. He has the basic parts of a human but he is made out of rocks with two rocks on top of his head as ears.
Deep underground a Japan Bullet Train streaks across an underground tunnel. It is late and there are only but five on one of the trains. A man reading a newspaper and falling asleep, a little boy with a green hat sitting next to him is his big brother with the wild gold hair. On top in the baggage crates is a small brown Digimon with wings and next to him is a small soccer ball shapped Digimon with a horn coming from its forehead. "How much loner Matt?" TK asks his big brother.
"Relax TK, your almost home," his big brother Matt replies. You can see their faces reflecting off the opposite window of the train.
"Matt's and TK's parents aren't together anymore Patamon, so even though they're brothers. They don't live together," Tsunomon says on top of the crate.
"So TK lives with their Mom and Matt lives with their Dad. That explains why they try so hard to stay together all the time," Patamon says quietly to Tsunomon.
The screen shows half of TK's face, he looks down at his DigiVice. The screen is a clock and the time is 7:07 and 14 seconds. "Sure late"
"Yeah so?"
"The next stop's good enough"
"No, I'm gonna take you all the way home little brother," Matt says softly to his brother.
"You don't have-ta."
"I know I don't have to. But I'm going to okay? I've got my reasons," Matt says determined to bring his brother home.
"What reasons?" TK asks innocently.
"Your my brother," Matt replies.
"Thanks Matt," TK smiles.
On top Patamon and Tsunomon both hear the sweet brotherly talk below. "Aw nothing like sweet brotherly love," Patamon says.
"That's a Digi-mouthful," Tsunomon says.
"We like it when you guys get mushy," Patamon tells the boys below.
"Hey! Quit it!" TK bursts out and gets off his seat and looks up at Patamon angrily.
"Take it easy TK," Matt says calmly.
"You don't have to be mean about it," Patamon says turning his head away, hurt; "I thought what you guys said was nice...."
"Mind your own beeswax! Why are you listening to our conversations anyway?!?!" TK yells at Patamon.
"Fine you don't want me around, I'll leave!"
"Patamon!" Tsunomon says in surprise. The train stops and the doors open. Patamon gets up and flys out.
"I know when I'm not wanted!" Patamon calls back and flys off. Tsunomon and Matt chase after him but stops in front of the open doors. Matt looks back at TK who didn't even turn to see his Digimon leave.
"Patamon got off the train TK. Aren't you going to go after him?" Matt asks TK.
"Who cares about him?!"
"I think you care about him," Tsunomon says.
"Don't you? Better decide TK, the doors are closing..." Matt says. The doors begin to close. TK runs out with Matt and Tsunomon behind.
"Where'd he go?" TK asks concerned.
"Where are we?" Tsunomon asks.
The group head back up on the street. "Seems like we've been walking around for hours," TK whines.
"I'm tired and I don't even have any feet of legs!" Tsunomon says in Matt's arms.
"You shouldn't of telled at him like that TK," Matt tells him.
"It wasn't my fault," TK says looking down with his face scrunched up. He and Matt were having a good conversation, but Patamon broke in and teased him and Matt.
"Well actually it is."
"Oh, I'm really sorry," TK says realizing what he did. He had hurt Patamon's feelings and now regrets it.
"I know you didn't mean to hurt his feelings," Matt says comforting.
"I thought he was making fun of us..." TK says, thinking back. Patamon seemed really hurt, he guessed that he shouldn't of been so hard on him. Patamon wasn't teasing in a mean way, he was only playing.
"You know Patamon better than that."
"Why don't we try looking over there?" Tsunomon suggests. They walk past a casino in search of TK's little Digimon.
Inside the casino, Pumpkinmon is winning big. He has many stacks of silver marbles behind him. Gotsumon meanwhile, isn't having any luck. He goes over to Pumpkinmon and asks if he can borrow some. "I'll pay you back."
"Pay me back with what?" Pumpkinmon asks, not wanting to give anymore to Gotsumon.
"With the stuff I'm about to win," Gotsumon explains.
"But you never win," Pumpkinmon says accussingly.
"I'm hot tonight!" Gotsumon says in defence.
An attendant comes in and see two 'kids' dressed in costumes playing on the slot machines. "Hey you two, you kids just don't get the message. Get out and stay out!" The big attendent grabs the two by the collar and throws them down the escalator. "If you have to sneak in here dressed as cartoon characters at least get a decent costume!" He calls at them and leaves.
"Boy it's a good thing we were about to leave," Pumpkinmon says when they reached the bottom of the escalator.
"Of we would teach him some manners," Gotsumon says.
"What did you just say?!?!" The attendent appears in the doorway, furious.
"Uh-oh" they both say in unison. They both run out of the casino and round the corner. They both trip over a girls leg while she was talking on the phone. They all fall down. "Whoa! I think you knocked over a monster!" Gotsumon says.
"Even worse, I think I knocked over a teenager," Pumpkinmon says and looks closer at the girl who is fuming mad. "I heard about these strange looking creatures."
"Hey! It takes one to know one!" The girl shoots back.
"Excuse me, but do you know what time it is?" Gotsumon asks. The girl checks her watch. "Time for new clothes!!!" The two both laugh.
"Get lost you creeps! And what's with the costumes? Aren't you guys a little late for Halloween?" The girl asks angry at being laughed by a couple of hooligans.
"What's Halloween?" Pumpkinmon asks Gotsumon.
"I don't think I like these teenage things," Gotsumon says.
"Maybe I can reprogram her if I can pull out her safety mechanism," Pumpkinmon reaches out and tugs on the girl's nose stud. Big mistake! A scream echoes out and Pumpkinmon and Gotsumon are on their feet and running for their lives!
"This teenage thing is going to teach you some manners!" Her voice seething with anger.
TK, Matt and Tsunomon are all still searching for Patamon. They hear a noise coming their way. They see Gotsumon and Pumpkinmon running towards them. "Tsunomon digivolve to....GABUMON!"
"Hold it right there! Why are you two in such a hurry?" Gabumon asks them. Head lowered, ready to protect the boys if need to.
"Do you know these guys?" TK asks wide eyed.
"I sure do, they work for Myotismon," Gabumon explains.
"Your right but right now we're being chased by something even scarier than Myotismon! There's a really angry teenage human chasing after us!" Pumpkinmon says in a hurry.
"Better think of it, you better hide too!" Gotsumon and Pumpkinmon grab Gabumon and carry him into an alley. Not much later, the girl marches towards Matt. She asks in deep breaths where the two punks in costumes are. Matt points to his left. The girl runs off still raging mad. From behind, Gotsumon, Pumpkinmon and Gabumon come out of the sign that their hiding in.
"I know why you two are here, did Myotismon send you two here to find someone?" Gabumon asks, still suspecting them.
"Uh yeah, that Eighth DigiDestined kid," Pumpkinmon replies.
"Then your our enemy," Matt says accusingly.
"No we're not, we just want to cruise around the city and have some fun!" Pumpkinmon explains their real plans.
"But we thought you two were evil Digimon," Matt says realizing that they are who they say they are.
"Evil, shmivel. We love it here! In fact next stop Hollywood! Ta-da!" Gotsumon says. He and Pumpkinmon both strike a pose.
"They're not ready for TV," TK says.
"Typical, everyone wants to be in show business," Gabumon says. The two mischievious Digimon both see the red, yellow and green lights, above a busy intersection. They jump up and start to swing it. The cars below swirve away, avoiding crashing. The Digimon laugh at the chaos they made below. "That's enough, that's not funny. It's mean!" Gabumon scolds them from below. TK hears sirens, and they all figure the police are on their way. They all leave together.
Once away from the scene, the kids stop to catch their breaths. They look behind them and Pumpkinmon and Gotsumon are no where to be found. Then they see them in a fashion store window. They both got on outfits from the store. "Man oh man," TK and Matt both say, commenting on their attire. Gotsumon has on a white short sleeve shirt with blue overalls. Pumpkinmon got on a pink dress.
"I think this one makes me look fat but what do you think?" Pumpkinmon asks Gotsumon.
"Then let's switch," They both switch and they both look the same. The group go in and Matt scolds the Digimon. The Digimon say he has to change his attitude. Pumpkinmon and Gotsumon both dress the group up. "This look says your not afraid to think big!" Matt is wearing a purple scarf, navy blue business suit and brown pants. "Here's a sporty look, but I haven't decided on what sport though". TK is wearing a yellow no sleeve vest on top of his green shirt. He has on pink and yellow socks with frills on it. On top of his head is a tall black hat with no brim. "And finally something nice, a little teddy." Gabumon is dressed in a teddy bear outfit, which only shows his head. "Well what do you think?" Just then, Patamon flies past the window. But Patamon doesn't see them. The whole group follows after him, but eventually loses him.
They end up in a park, night is approaching. "Patamon usually doesn't hold a grudge; but he was mad as a bull with a black gear!" Gabumon comments.
"I'm sure you'll find your flying pig friend," Gotsumon says. He and Pumpkinmon hold up ice cream cones to cheer them up. Matt asks where they bought them, the two Digimon say they didn't buy it, they stole it. As if on cue, an angry ice cream lady charges after the whole group, screaming for her ice cream.
"Everywhere you guys go, there's trouble!" Matt scolds the Digimon as they flee away from the angry lady. They manage to run away and hide in a dark alley. There they stopped and caught their breaths. Stormy clouds start heading their way. The Digimon offer them the ice cream again.
"No, you stole it," TK says, refusing to take the treat.
"Gabumon won't take it either, right Gabumon?" Matt refuses to eat the treat and looks over at his Digi-Companion. Gabumon stares hungrily at the ice cream cones, he slowly reaches for it as if in a trance. A blast of lightning flashes. Smoke appears in front of them and Myotismon emerges!
"Instead of causing pain and suffering, I find you eating ice cream! Have you found the Eighth DigiDestined Child yet?!" Gotsumon and Pumpkinmon shake their heads, "Redeem yourselves by stealing the tags and crests from these children or else."
"Yes, that was what we were about to do," Pumpkinmon says. They both face TK and Matt with evil grins on their faces. TK, Matt and Gabumon all run for it, Pumpkinmon and Gotsumon follow in hot pursuit.
"I suppose they would rather fight us then Myotismon," Gabumon says in between pants.
Elsewhere, Patamon flys and lands on top of a street light. He curls up and closes his eyes and thinks back at what he did. He is sad and sighs. "I just can't stay mad at TK any more. Besides I really miss him," Patamon says sadly. Below two school girls are talking. They plan on meeting their other friends at the park. One of the girls comments that you can find anyone at the park. Patamon opens his eyes and his wings perk up. "Oh, in the park." He flys off heading for the park.
Pumpkinmon and Gotsumon both split up and chase the DigiDestined to a wall. Gabumon stands in between them, ready to protect them with his life. "Alright, if its a fight you want. Fine," Matt challenges. They approach them closer with grins on their faces. What will they do to the DigiDestined?
Pumpkinmon stops in his tracks and scratches his head, "Uh....I quit."
"Me too," Gotsumon agrees, both stop and look at each other.
"Why should we fight? Someone almost always get hurt," Pumpkinmon explains.
"Yeah, that's for sure. Hey how bout you guys hand with us?" Gotsumon suggests. A lightning strike blasts down. The two Digimon tell the kids to hide. They hide in the back, behind a wall. Fog forms and Myotismon appears, Myotismon seeing the two Digimon's hands empty. He says that he won't tolerate failure. He wraps his cloak around him and....GRISLY WING! Bats appear and descend on the two Digimon. They swat at the bats.
"PUMPKINMON POWER!" Pumpkinmon summons a giant pumpkin above Myotismon's head, and it falls. But the bats fly back and eat the pumpkin up, before any of it even touches Myotismon.
"ROCK FIST ATTACK!" Seeing his friend's attack failed, Gotsumon lowers his head and fires his rocks which are located at the top of his head. But this is to no use. Myotismon stares down at the rock and destroys it. The bats return and pummel the Digimon. In the alley, Matt, TK and Gabumon can do nothing. They shut their eyes for what they know is happening.
"PUMPKINMON! GOTSUMON!" TK calls out.
"Don't watch," Matt covers his brothers eyes and they both face away from the ordeal. Once done, all that is left is an axe and a couple of rocks and pebbles. They too disappear.
"Well, that wasn't really difficult. Now it's your turn," Myotismon walks towards the kids.
"Those two....they were really trying to save us...grr....now you just condenmmed them for no reason at all!!!" Matt cries out, fists clenched. Tears form in Matt's anger filled eyes.
"GABUMON digivolve to........GARURUMON!!" Garurumon lunges at Myotismon and knocks him back. Myotismon throws a punch at Garurumon, which sends him flying back. Myotismon flys up. "HOWLING BLASTER!" Garurumon opens his mouth and blue energy erupts and heads for Myotismon. Using his cloak to shield the attack, Myotismon anticipates his enemy to finish.
"He should pat for what he did to those two," Matt keeps on saying. Myotismon flings his cape away and uses Crimson Lightning. He whips it at Garurumon. "Those guys just wanted to be our friends..." Garurumon is knocked back and is about to crash into a building. "GARURUMON!" Matt yells out.
"GARURUMON digivolve to.....WEREGARURUMON!" 
WereGarurumon jumps up from the point of impact. He does back-flips up the building and fist forward jumps towards Myotismon. The evil Digimon sees this too and flys toward the fully digivolved form of Gabumon. Their fists make impact, and bright light erupts from it. Signs and nearby windows break.
In the park, Patamon is there waiting on top of a tree. "Aw, those girls said the park was the best place to find someone. I don't see TK anywhere." The kids below all gasp and look towards the city. They see rubble from the side of the building breaking. Patamon notices this and flys off to investigate.
"Their up there!" Matt shouts out. He and TK had followed the immense battle. WereGarurumon is knocked back to a wall, an indent of his figure is left imprinted on the side of the building. He jumps up.
"WOLF CLAW!" Myotismon is taken by surprise and squints in pain. He is knocked back a few inches. The attack doesn't seem to harm him much. WereGarurumon seeing his opponent weak, shoves him through a building wall. Inside, people scream. WereGarurumon enters through the hole, Myotismon made. Myotismon catches WereGarurumon by surprise.
"GRISLY WING!" WereGarurumon is knocked back out through the hole and on top of the roof of a building. Myotismon flys towards him and uses his Crimson Lightning as a whip and brandishes it on WereGarurumon.
"WereGarurumon is in trouble and its all my fault. If I hadn't been so mean to Patamon. He would still been with us and we would of never of met Pumpkinmon and Gotsumon," TK thinks in his head, blaming the events on himself.
Up above, WereGarurumon can do nothing but take on the lashes. He is weak and cannot get up from the rubble. Myotismon attacks, lash after lash.
"And if the poor guys hadn't met us. They wouldn't been stuck where they are now. Oh...." tears form in TK's eyes. He closes them and clenches his fists. A Digivice appears, data is forming and enters the Digivice.
"It's TK, I'm digivolving." Patamon says, hovering in midair. Patamon grows brighter and.... "PATAMON digivolve to ANGEMON!!!" Below the crowds stare at the Angel flying above, heading towards the fight. Myotismon is wrapping WereGarurumon in his Crimson Lightning and throwing him around. Myotismon throws WereGarurumon down and senses someone behind him. He turns around and sees Angemon. Angemon flys towards Myotismon an raises his staff. Myotismon dodges, Angemon breaks the Crimson Lighting with his staff; freeing WereGarurumon. "Are you alright WereGarurumon?"
"Yes, thanks to you I am." WereGarurumon says weakly. He stands up, ready to fight.
"Angemon rules!" TK cries out below.
"Well, I guess we won't have to look for Patamon anymore," Matt comments with a smile.
"Angemon...hmph. They must be desperate to send you!" Myotismon taunts. Angemon and WereGarurumon both work as a team to defeat Myotismon. Myotismon dodges the attacks. "It's time to take my leave, we will fight again." Myotismon disappears through a portal.
WereGarurumon and Angemon both descend down to ground and de-digivolve back to Gabumon and Patamon. "I hope they're alright," TK says running towards his Digimon.
"Gabumon?" Matt asks his weak friend.
"Patamon are you okay?"
"Yes. I'm alright now...TK," Patamon says smiling.
"Sorry Patamon. Sorry I got mad," TK apologizes cradling the weakened Patamon.
"Don't cry TK, its alright," Patamon says, forgiving him. The group walk back home. They past the many shops where they met Pumpkinmon and Gotsumon. The store window, where they dressed themselves up silly, the traffic light, the dream about going to Hollywood and the ice cream.
"I miss them too," Matt says sadly. In the dark sky above, two stars streak past. "I guess we shouldn't take out friends for granted. TK nearly lost Patamon's friendship. And who knows if we're going to see Patamon or Gotsumon again. But one things for sure, I know Myotismon isn't through with us yet. His henchmen are out there somewhere searching for the Eighth DigiDestined."
On top of Tai's apartment. Gatomon sits there and spies on what little Kari is doing. An evil smirk on her face. "You maybe sweet little Kari. I will get my claws into you..."
