"Kari don't! You don't know what your doing! You can't give yourself up to Myotismon! He'll destroy you and gain control over both worlds! Kari NO!" Matt cries in anguish.
Phantomon engulfs Kari in a floating purple sphere and takes her away.
Back in the abandoned building, Matt slams his fist in the wall, not believing what happened. Shame torments him.
"It's not your fault," Sora says kindly to Matt, hoping to cheer him up.
"Yes it is, I blew it. Tai asked me to protect her and I couldn't. I let everyone down," Matt says, head low.
"Alright Matt, it seems to me there are two things you can do about this. Number one you can stand there and beat yourself up about the whole thing or number two we can find a way to rescue Kari. What's it gonna be?" Sora asks.
Matt turns around and faces Sora, "Your right, lets get her."
On the streets, Tai and Agumon are running towards the Convention Center. "Hurry Agumon the convention center is up ahead. That's where my parents are being held prisoner and keep an eye out for Myotismon. Huh? What's that?" Tai and Agumon stop and look ahead. Heavy fog covers the Convention Center.
Inside the Convention Center...
"Well Gatomon is this the Eighth Child?" Myotismon asks, holding a trembling child. Gatomon shakes her head. Myotismon threatens her that if she was lying he'll destroy everyone here. Gatomon looks up at him with glaring eyes.
Demidevimon flys in, "Myotismon! You'll love this boss I found the Eighth DigiDestined." Demidevimon smiles evilly.
Myotismon looks at the little bowling ball with wings, "you did?!"
"What?! How'd he do it?" Mimi in her pink pajamas wonders. She is with the captured kids and overhears Demidevimon's conversation.
"Oh no, not Kari," Gatomon looks down in worry. Myotismon sees her worried look and taunts her.
"Hear that? It's over," Myotismon bellows in triumph. Gatomon shoots her angered looks at him. 
Myotismon tells Demidevimon he has no need for the kids.
"Right, what should I do to them oh evil one?!" Demidevimon asks in anticipation and smiling gleefully.
"Make them go to sleep, I'll find a way to deal with them later," with that Myotismon flys off with Gatomon behind being carried by the bats.
A fine mist covers the Convention Center and the kids that are touched, fall down...fast asleep.
Tai and Agumon sees Myotismon and Gatomon flying off. "Where could he be going?" Agumon wonders.
Mimi's crest begins to glow and her eyes start to twitch. She wakes up and looks around her. All the kids are fast asleep.
Tai and Agumon reach the Convention Center and they are running to find everyone. A group of Bakemon all head toward them in all directions. "Agumon digivolve to....Greymon!" "NOVA BLAST!" The gigantic ball of inferno destroys the Bakemon, they all turn into pixels and vanish.
"They didn't stand a ghost of a chance!" Tai congradulates Greymon. Mimi hears the commotion and steps out of the room.
"Tai you made it inside!" Mimi cries with joy.
"Mimi, where are the others?" Tai asks.
"They're all fast asleep, Myotismon put them all under some kind of spell; since he found the Eighth Child," Mimi explains.
Tai is shocked by the news, "Oh no, that means he has Kari!"
"Kari?" Mimi asks, wondering what Tai is talking about.
"Come on let's go."
Up at the Communications Tower, Matt's Dad and Izzy are there trying to figure out a way communicate with the outside. "Hey it's Matt and Sora!" Izzy says looking through the window.
"Wha? Matt; what's he doing here? AH! MONSTERS!" Matt's Dad cries out in shock, seeing his son riding on a wolf and a girl riding a giant bird.
"Actually sir, the technical name is Digimon. You see they are not like the pretend monsters you see in old movies destroying a bunch of Japanese cities. Hey well, maybe that's a bad example but anyway. The Digimon Matt is riding on is definitely on our side." Izzy explains.
"What do you mean on our side?" Matt's Dad asks.
"You see there's good Digimon and bad Digimon. The Good Digimon are our friends, just like Tentomon here.
"I'm more than good, I'm exceptionnal!" Tentomon points out.
"I wouldn't dare doubt ya!" Matt's Dad says, understanding the situation and believing in the kids.
Out at sea, Zudomon is carrying Joe, TK, Patamon and an unconscious Wizardmon. "But Joe, why does Wizardmon have a tag and a crest?" TK asks. They both stare at the unconscious Digimon.
"He said it belonged to the Eighth Digi Destined. You think it could be true?" Joe wonders. Wizardmon stirrs and begins to wake up.
"Are you awake?" TK asks Wizardmon innocently.
"Huh? Who are you?" A dazed Wizardmon looks up and sees that he's riding on a Zudomon. He looks around and he is accompanied by two humans and a Patamon that's resting on one of the human's head.
"I'm TK nice to meet you," TK says smiling.
"KARI! Where's Kari?!" Wizardmon asks, remembering what had happened. Myotismon had thrown him in the water, when he found out that Gatomon was the Eighth Digimon.
"Who's Kari?" TK asks.
"You've got to give this crest to Kari!" Wizardmon urges.
"You mean you want us to give this to Tai's little sister Kari? But if we need to deliver this crest to Tai's sister Kari...but that must mean she's the Eighth Digidestined child we've been looking for all along!" Joe exclaims in disbelief.
"Gee, I'm always the last one to find out," TK says.
"We have no time to waste, Kari and Gatomon need this crest," Wizardmon explains.
"Gatomon?!?!" Joe hears the menacing cat-like Digimon's name.
"But she's one of the bad Digimon that work for Myotismon," TK points out.
"Are you saying that Gatomon is one of the good guys?!" Joe asks in shock. The whole day has been shocking, one unbelievable truth after another.
"Exactly," Wizardmon says.
At the Communication Center, Izzy and Matt's Dad wait for Matt and Sora. "Matt! Sora! Hey you guys!"
"Izzy, what are you doing here?" Sora asks.
"Matt!"
"Dad?!?!" Matt gets off of Garurumon and look up at his Dad wondering what he's doing here.
"I told you to stay out of sight," Matt's Dad scolds Matt.
Matt sulks, "I'm sorry Dad."
Garurumon's enormous head lowers and sees Matt's Dad. "Hello Matt's Dad, good to see you again," Garurumon smiles.
Matt's Dad jumps and asks, "What do you mean again? Who are you? Have we met?"
"You know me, I digivolved from Gabumon."
"Gabumon? That's you?" Matt's Dad looks at the giant wolf Digimon in disbelief.
"HEY!"
"JOE, TK!" Sora cries out, seeing them with their digimon heading their way.
Matt's Dad sees little TK and sighs, "TK." TK sees his Dad and runs over to hug him. "TK, what are you doing here?"
"When I saw all that stuff on TV, I just couldn't stay home anymore. Mom wanted to come too, but we couldn't bring her," TK says, his voice faltering.
"It's ok son," his Dad puts a hand on TK's head.
"I missed you Daddy," TK smiles looking up. His Dad smiles back.
"It's Wizardmon. What are you doing here?" Matt asks.
Wizardmon ignores Matt's question and sees Lillymon. He sees the black and white flower Digimon. "Hm, she was attacked by Myotismon wasn't she?"
"So what if she was?" Sora asks not trusting Wizardmon.
Wizardmon looks over Lillymon. He summons his power and makes some symbols with his hands. A green light is emitted and he waves it over the still Lillymon. The light engulfs her and slowly her color is back. She wakes up, everyone is surprised.
"What's this? Wizardmon?" Lillymon flies up to attack...
"Wait! Stop! Don't attack him. Wizardmon's a good Digimon. He's got the tag and crest!" TK cries out, stepping in front of Wizardmon.
"TK, he could be lying," Sora tells him.
"No, Sora it's all true, just look," Joe montions to Wizardmon's hands and he holds the Eighth Digidestined's crest and tag.
"This tag belongs to Kari. We've got to help Gatomon. She was captured by Myotismon," Wizardmon explains.
"Gatomon?" The two both look at each other in surprise.
"Yeah, Wizardmon says Gatomon belongs to Kari," TK explains furthur.
"Now, where is Kari?"
Matt is hestitant and looks down, "He's got her."
Inside, Phantomon holds up his scythe. Kari is staring bravely at him, not showing her fear.
"Gennai sent me an email a little while ago, if I recall correctly he said the TV station is the channel of Myotismon's fog barrier," Izzy tells the group. They are all running/flying up the stairs.
"Look it's Myotismon!" Matt says. The group all look up. They see Myotismon flying past them holding Gatomon in front of him with his bats all flying around him. "He's got Gatomon."
"But not for long," Wizardmon points out.
"Quick let's head to the viewing platform," Matt directs the group.
"Right, I'll show you the way," Matt's Dad turns around, they all take a step when suddenly in front of them. Two giant Digimon pop out. A claw of one of the Digimon almost hits Sora. A digivice is heard. A 3D Garurumon digivolves to.......WereGarurumon! 
WereGarurumon jabs and kick the Digimon. Garudamon helps out too.
"Leave the battle to us," Garudamon says.
"We can handle these Digimon," Zudomon holds onto one of the Digimon. "Go inside and get Kari."
The digidestined all nod and head forward. Wizardmon falls to his knees. "Hey Wizardmon are you alright?" Matt's Dad bends over and helps Wizardmon up. "Here let me give you a hand."
Bats enter the area where Kari is. Myotismon slowly lowers himself down. "I've got you my pretty and your little car too!" He holds out Gatomon.
Outside, trying desperately to make it to the Communications Tower is Greymon. Riding him is Tai and Mimi. Tai urges Greymon to hurry it up.
"Little girl, why have you chosen to show yourself to me? Do you have any idea what's about to happen to you?" Myotismon asks icily.
"I guess."
"Then why?"
"Cause you were hurting all those people; someone had to stop you from hurting innocent people!" Kari says with courage.
Myotismon looks at the small girl and is surprised by her bravery. He smiles. "My, what a thoughtful little girl you are."
The Digidestined are all running up the many flights of stairs, heading toward where Myotismon is.
"Why won't you look at the Eighth Child's face?" Myotismon asks Gatomon. Her face is turned away from Kari.
"Because she's not the Eighth Child. Who is she? I've never seen her in my life," Gatomon says.
"Is that right?" Myotismon smiles and snaps his fingers. Demidevimon flys to Kari and pulls her hair.
"Kari NO!" Gatomon look and try to go to Kari.
"Kari...interesting you know her name since you never met her before.
"Hurry, it's up here."
"Got it Dad," Matt and the others all head out.
"Thanks for the help," Wizardmon starts to run off with the others.
"Are you sure your alright?"
"Sure, Digimon heal fast." With that Wizardmon darts toward the room.
Gatomon breaks free of Myotismon grasp and stands in front of Kari. 
"Together again, too bad it'll be short lived! Grizly Wing....
"Tentomon digivolve to....Kabuterimon! "Electro Shocker!"
"Flower Cannon!" Myotismon stops his attack and blows a breath at the two attacks. The two energy clusters vaporize. Myotismon blows off the roof and flys up with Gatomon and Kari.
"It's getting a bit noisy here, let's find a place quieter," Myotismon rises up in the air and crashes through the roof with Kari and Gatomon hostage.
"Not so fast! WEREGARURUMON!" Matt calls out from the window. The Ultimate Digimon below are just about finishing the Evil Digimon. WereGarurumon is putting a head lock on one of the giant Digimon. He looks up hearing his name being called. He sees Matt calling him, he finishes off the evil Digimon and climbs straight up the building. Digging his claws into the cement building, he runs up it. He reaches the top. Myotismon sees this and laughs.
"I am really getting sick of that laugh," Sora says. Garudamon holds onto Zudomon's back horn and flys up after defeating the evil Digimon.
"Kabuterimon digivolve to....MegaKabuterimon!" All the Ultimate Digimon surround Myotismon. "Horn Buster!" Myotismon laughs and waves his icy hands toward the oncoming electric ball. MegaKabuterimon's attack is waved away and it misses it's target. Myotismon uses his power and flicks MegaKabuterimon to the right and knocking down WereGarurumon. WereGarurumon falls off the ceiling but manages to grab on to the edge.
"Crimson Lightning!" Myotismon unleashes a giant red flare and hits WereGarurumon's hands. WereGarurumon lets go and plummets down.
"WereGarurumon!" Matt cries out.
"Oh that's gonna hurt," Myotismon laughs menacingly but is hit from behind. Unhurt Myotismon turns around to see who dared hit him. There behind him, fully recovered was Wizardmon!
"Kari! Here catch!" Wizardmon throws her the crest and tag. Kari catches it.
"Wizardmon!!!" Gatomon sees her friend that she thought was presumed destroyed.
"So your still alive?" Myotismon says disappointed.
"It'll take more than the likes of you to destroy me!" Wizardmon taunts Myotismon.
"We will see!" Myotismon launches an energy ball and thrusts it towards Wizardmon. Wizardmon is knocked back.
"Now give that to me you little brat!" Myotismon turns his attention to Kari, wanting the crest and tag back.
Kari clutches the tag and crest not really knowing the real power of the device. "NO!"
"WAIT!!!" Everyone looks over to the other building right across from where they stand.
"MIMI!" Lillymon's relieved voice is heard. Standing on the other building was Tai, Mimi and Greymon.
"You just picked on the wrong guy's little sister fang face! Kari here catch!" Tai takes Kari's DigiVice and throws it over. Mid-way to Kari's arms, out of no where; Demidevimon appears and snatches the device.
"I got the DigiVice, you can thank me after you take over the Digi World boss," Demidevimon sneers with a grin.
"That's nice work. Go get them Phantomon," Myotismon congratulates Demidevimon and sends Phantomon out towards Tai.
A DigiVice rings and who can be the next one to Digivolve? Greymon digivolve to......METALGREYMON MetalGreymon attacks with "GIGA-BLASTER!" The two missles fly straight towards Myotismon and Phantomon. Myotismon calmly puts his hand forward. The missles explode but Myotismon and Phantomon are unscathed.
"HORN BUSTER!"
"VULCAN'S HAMMER!"
"WING BLADE!"
"FLOWER CANNON!"
All the Ultimate Digimon's attacks head straight towards Myotismon, but once again, he raises his hand and all the attacks disinigrate. The Digimon are all surprised at his powers. "He's strong, too strong," Matt and the others look on. From behind, TK looks into Patamon's eyes. They both nod, knowing what they must do.
"Are you done? I'm bored, it's time to finish you off. Nightmate....." Myotismon is cut short. Appearing the screen is a digivice. The digivice screams and a bright light is transmitted.
"Patamon digivolve to.....ANGEMON!" The light fades away and Angemon is there.
"Now what?" Myotismon says, clearly bored of the numerous digivolutions.
Angemon looks down at Myotismon and gives his speech of justice and punishment. Myotismon ignores this. Angemon has no choice but, "HAND OF FATE!" Angemon clenches his right hand with his fist and from it shoots a bright light, straight at Myotismon. Myotismon had no time to block and is hit by it, he covers himself with his cloak. Phantomon who is beside him is destroyed. Myotismon holds himself, shivering from the bright light of justice. "Have you had enough or do you want some more?"
"Actually I was about to ask you the same question...GRISLY WING!!" Myotismon looks up with a sneer on his face and launches his attack. But the attack isn't aimed at Angemon but at KARI!
Everybody is frozen with shock at Myotismon's surprise attack. The screen shows everybody's stunned faces. The many bats flow from Myotismon's hands and straight at Kari. Wizardmon gets up and runs just in time to take the full force of the attack. With arms outstretched Wizardmon sacrifices his life to save Kari and Gatomon. Gatomon sees Wizardmon's noble act and sees his cloak being shredded. Gatomon can do nothing but look.
The bats disappear and Wizardmon falls down on his back. "Next time, don't get in my way!" Myotismon is angry that his plan had not succeeded.
"Oh no...Wizardmon...your going to...be alright. Oh Wizardmon...please don't leave," Gatomon kneels besides her fallen friend and comrade. Hot tears roll down her blue eyes. She mourns for her friend.
"Are you alright...Gatomon?" Wizardmon struggles to ask. He looks up at Gatomon's teary face.
"You saved me...I'm sorry," Gatomon says, she lowers her face in grief.
"About what?" Wizardmon asks, not knowing why his best friend is apologizing.
"I'm sorry I got you involved in this," Gatomon cries.
"Don't be sorry, I don't have any regrets. If I hadn't met you...My life would of had no meaning...I'm glad you and I are friends," Wizardmon says to Gatomon. He feels that without Gatomon in his life, his life would of ended that day in the desert. Without Gatomon he would of had no meaning in life, but helping and being with her; he found life and interest. He truly had no regrets.
"That's forever," Gatomon raises her head up and looks at Wizardmon. Ever since she rescued him, they had been great friends. Helping each other out accomplishing Myotismon's wishes, getting each other out of trouble and being the best of friends. Now, the friendship is going to end; but no, Wizardmon will always live inside her. That is forever.
"Thank you for everything," Underneath the scarf, he smiles at Gatomon and closes his eyes for the final time. Tiny pixels replace his solid body and the pixels flow up into the air and vanish into a bright light. Wizardmon died a hero's death and he has no regrets. He found good and died a good Digimon, though he had led an evil Digimon's life. In the end, he was and forever will be a good Digimon; and forever be best friends with Gatomon.
Kari's digivice transmits a bright light, Demidevimon is having trouble holding onto the flashing Digivice. "I can't hold on!" He lets go, and Tai grabs the Digivice right from the air and with one continuous motion, throws it towards Kari. Kari catchs it, Myotismo is shocked. Fear is in his murderous eyes.
A 3D Digivice is seen, a bright light transmits out of the digivice and through a crest. The picture of the crest is a flower with tiny diamond shaped petals going around it. The new light flows around and round and shines itself on....Gatomon. She turns a marble color, her whole body turns a pink marble wave color and the bright light flows through her. We can only see her outline as she grows taller, it seems that she has grown into a woman with long hair. Her paws/gloves slip off her delicate hands. A winged glove fits over her hand. Winged shoes appear on her feet and a robe and scarf fit around her body. Gatomon's eyes are seen and a metal mask covers over it. Eight wings from behind emerge and we can finally see her fully digivolved form. "Gatomon digivolve to.....Angewomon!!!"
"Gatomon is an angel?" Kari says, looking up at her in wide eyed wonder.
"Myotismon you've tried to destroy the Digidestined and tried to conquer Earth. In doing so, you have ruined the life of Digimon and humans alike. How do you justify youself?" Angewomon's heavenly voice calls out.
"I don't like to explain myself to the likes of you. It's my destiny to plunge this world into darkness and become King of the Digi World. And no angel or Digimon has the power to stop me!" Myotismon spits out.
"Myotismon don't you have any regrets for the things you have done?" Angemon asks.
Myotismon laughs, "NIGHTMARE...."
Angewomon raises her arms above her head, "Heaven's Charge!" A yellow glowing ring appears above Angewomon's head. Inside is a shifting of rainbow color.
"My power...it's..it's growing," MegaKabuterimon explains. WereGarurumon climbs back up.
"Everyone give your power to Angewomon," Garudamon says. All the Digimon agree to give their power to Angewomon.
"Horn Buster!"
"Flower Cannon!"
"Vulcan's Hammer!"
"Wolf Claw!"
"Wing Blade!"
"Giga Blaster!"
Hand of Fate!" All the attacks are directed at the ring. The attacks are absorbed, charging the wing.
"Celestial arrow!" Angewomon raises her hand and the wings of the winged glove grow into a bow. Angewomon takes raises her hand and the charged ring turns into an arrow. She takes it and aims and shoots it straight at Myotismon.
Myotismon can't dodge it, the arrow sinks itself straight through his heart. A flash emits. Black lightning appears and Myotismon disappears.
Myotismon is gone!" Kari cries out in joy.
"KARI!" Tai jumps over to Kari and hugs her. Everybody cheers. The building that they are all standing on shakes and is starting to collapse. Everyone gets a ride from the Ultimate Digimon and descend down and away from the building. The giant sphere drops and crashes to the ground. "I don't believe we finally destroyed Myotismon!"
"That wasn't so tough after all!" Joe said.
"Yeah!" Mimi cries out in joy.
"Hopefully now the real world will return to normal," Matt says.
"Hey you two, what's wrong?" Sora looks behind them and sees TK and Kari looking around.
"Look up there," TK points up.
"What is it?" Matt asks.
"The fog its getting thicker," TK says.
"Impossible," Tai looks around. Sure enough the fog is getting thicker.
"But Myotismon is gone," Kari says.
"Maybe he's still out there somewhere, getting stronger..." Tai points out.
