When Word Records signed Bruce Carroll to their now defunct New Canaan Label, it was as a country singer. They had no idea that their new artist would constantly place hits on the charts of Pop, and Inspirational music. Carroll used progressive music (sometimes called new country) and pleased many listeners in different arenas much like Garth Brooks, Michael James and many others. Yet Carroll never strays too far from home, delivering country music that tells of the everyday miracles in the life of the "Average Joe".
