Dana Key is best known as the main lead vocalist and guitarist half of the veteran rocker band DeGarmo and Key. Now that the band has disbanded, Dana Key steps into a light rock/ adult contemporary suit that seems to fit him as well as his rocker outfit. His first solo offering included the radio single, "Pray For Peace" (performed with the Christ Church Choir) and more reflective lyrics than often found in the more evangelistic based efforts of DeGarmo and Key. His second album, PART OF THE MYSTERY, rocked a little harder, but not much. Lyrically, however, it went even farther than his previous work, with songs like By Divine Design. The sound still resembles DeGarmo and Key, but the differences become more obvious as time passes.
