Russ Taff became known to the world at large as the raspy tenor fronting the Imperials as they made their shift into the world of pop music. Taff's unique vocals and songwriting abilities assisted the transition while helping to win one award after another. Imperials classics HEED THE CALL and ONE MORE SONG FOR YOU continue to be found in record stores across the country. His first solo album, WALLS OF GLASS, included the #1 song "We Will Stand". However, it was his second album MEDALS that gave him a star on the map with it's long line of top ten hits including, "Silent Love", "Not Gonna Bow", "Rock Solid", and the title track. Taff continued to take audiences by storm with his lyric pictures of real life and the need for grace found in "Walk Between The Lines" and other songs from the self titled release RUSS TAFF.

Even his stylistic change to the acoustic rock sounds of THE WAY HOME or the old time gospel feel of the award winning UNDER THEIR INFLUENCE has only increased his audience. WINDS OF CHANGE finds Taff following some of his compadres (like Kim Hill) into the world of New Country, which he masters easily.
