One word could be used to sum the history of Whiteheart: transitions. Some of the most competent musicians in the world have formed the Christian rock band Whiteheart. The alumni list reads like a who's who in music: Tommy Sims (bass - producer, toured with the Bruce Springsteen band), Steve Green (Lead Vocals-solo Christian inspirational pop career), Dan Huff (Guitar-in demand studio musician, lead guitarist and vocalist for secular band GIANT), and the list goes on.

From its inception, mainstays Mark Gershmehl and Billy Smiley have been the heart and guiding force of the band as well as principle songwriters and producers. Yet through transitions, tragedy, and triumph Whiteheart has continued to function as a single unit. The main cause for this has been constantly expressed by lead vocalist Rick (Ric, Riq) Florian and is the rallying point of the band. Whiteheart is committed to bringing quality Christian music with a message of the gospel to the masses. With that goal as their focus, Whiteheart stays united and consistently offers solid rock with releases like INSIDE, HIGHLANDS, and POWERHOUSE.
