These include professional associations, nonprofit foundations, and government agencies. There are also several citizen advocacy groups, comprised of patients, family members, and friends. In addition to lobbying on behalf of those with mental illness, such groups often provide support services. Some groups, including the National Alliance for the Mentally Ill, the National Depressive and Manic-Depressive Association, and the National Mental Health Association have chapters nationwide. Check your local phone directory, hospital, or contact the national office to find the chapter nearest you.  American Academy of Child & Adolescent Psychiatry (AACAP)  3615 Wisconsin Avenue N.W.  Washington, DC 20016-3007  202/966-7300  publications@aacap.org  American Psychiatric Association (APA)  1400 K Street N.W.  Washington, DC 20005  202/682-6325  apa@psych.org  American Psychological Association (APA)  750 First Street N.E.  Washington, DC 20002-4242  202/336-5700  public.affairs@apa.org  Depression and Related Affective Disorders Association (DRADA)  Meyer 3-181  600 N.
