December 16th

The bright light reflecting the snow shone through the white curtains of the room. Meave awaked and rubbed the sleep off her eyes. She looked around and saw it was usually bright. She got up and walked to her window and saw snow gently falling from the gray sky. Her whole yard was covered of this wonderful snow! With great happiness, she dashed to her bathroom and did her routine. Once she finished Meave walked to her walk-in closet and selected her ribbed white turtle neck and black pants with her favorite gray cotton socks and Nine West 1 inch black boots. Since it was pretty cold she took her black scarf and hung it around her neck. Her stomach was grumbling from the hunger…. she needed breakfast! Meave quickly pulled her brown hair into a ponytail and headed downstairs.

As she walked into the big kitchen, she saw her parents drinking some coffee and reading the morning paper. Her family used the in kitchen eating area everyday but for dinner and special occasions, they used the dinning room area. "Good Morning Daddy, Mom!" Meave cheerfully greeted her parents. "Morning sweetie! Your in a great mood, care to share with your old man?" Ted joked "Oh daddy! It’s snowing! I love snow! Will we get to have a winter formal dinner soon?!" "oh yes! When is it dear?" Ted asked Kate, his wife. "of course! It’s on the 20th of this month, Ben told me that he will be flying in for the dinner. He gets to have a break from the 18th through the New Years!" "oh! That’s wonderful! Will I get to help with the decorations and stuff?" "yup, You will also get to invite who ever you want because we want to have the best party ever, so you got to make a list soon, I’ll help you mail the invitations. You’ll might want to look for a new dress!" "Will you look at the time, I have to go to work now! I must not be late! See you tonight!" Ted said as he went out the door. "Meave, I have to go to the city for the day to promote some designs, will you be able to be by yourself for the day?" Kate asked "Yeah Mom, I’ll be okay. I still have some work to do myself! I’ll see you tonight! Love ya!" Meave waved to her mom. "Bye!"

Meave was now alone in the table still finishing her pancakes. When she was done she went back to her room and looked out the window, sure looks pretty out there! She stood there for awhile and decided that she would take a nice walk out in the snow. Meave grabbed her navy blue pea coat, gloves and hat and headed to the garden. It wasn’t very cold, just a bit or so…Meave looked up to the sky and saw the snowflakes. "It’s so pretty and quiet here! I love it! Ah…."Meave whispered to herself. She followed the bricked path to the bench and sat down. She began daydreaming about her dream guy….he’s sweet, funny, kind, warm…all the things that would match her…she looks for the inside not the outside though. Meave shook her thoughts away and tool a glance at her watch-10:45 am. "Whoa! Gotta get back inside!" she mumbled. Meave walk back in to the warm house and took off her coat, gloves and hat. Since it her boots were wet she took them off too and left it to dry. "What can I do now?" she though to herself. She walked back to her room and took a note pad from her drawer. "Who can I invite?" she asked herself…it was too quiet so she went to her stereo system and switched on "Give Me Your Heart" She loved that song! After hours of deciding, she finally got the list done… it as pretty long but her first one on the list was of course- bsb. Meave glanced through the list and was satisfied. She was pretty much worn out so she laid back and drifted away.

"Meeeeaaavvveee!" Kate shouted from the stairs, "Yes mom?" Meave appeared from her room "Have you gotten a new dress yet?" "no not yet." "Well, you better because the bash is tonight! Go downtown and get whatever nice one you like!" "okay! I’ll be back in 2 hours!" "you better!"

Meave out on her coat and headed to her Silver BMW she gotten for her birthday. She loved it! She drove to the place on 5th Ave wear her mom recommended to go. She found a parking spot and walked through the revolving glass doors. This place was huge! A lady went up to her and introduced herself"Hi I’m Sheri! Are you Meave, Kate Ferlisi’s daughter?" "yea! I am! Nice to meet you! How do you know?" "Your mother phoned me that you will be coming and she told me to show you the best dresses!" "Oh my! Mom shouldn’t have…" "oh you have tons to chose from! Now if you will follow me…"

Meave followed Sheri to a room full of wonderful gowns. It took forever to try and choose. After many tries, there was one left. An ivory satin ball gown with pearl trimmings, it was beautiful. It came with a pretty matching shawl. Once Meave tried it, she fell in love with it. She was going to take this one! "Oh you look amazing! This is the one!" Sheri amazed. It was her own creation and had found the perfect owner! Sheri put the gown to the protective bag and gave it to Meave. " Your mother bought this for you before and it was a surprise. Hope she did surprise you!" "Oh my gosh! She did?! I have to thank her at once!" Meave took the gown and thanked Sheri for her help. She quickly drove back home and saw a car on the driveway. She wondered who could it be. Meave carried her gown and went in the house. She heard laughter in the living room so she headed there. As she stepped into the room, there sitting on the couch was a dirty blonde hair man talking with her mom-it was Ben!
