"BEN?!? Is it you?!" she eyes widened

"Meave?! Oh my- How are you?!" They gave each other a big bear hug! "I’m good alright! You? How’s school? When did you arrive?!" "Whoa! Slow down, I arrived after you left. Mom said you went to get a dress for tonight?" "yeah I did!" "Mom you wanna take a look?" Of course! Now let me see!" Meave took the protective bag off and revealed her ivory colored gown. "Oh! It’s beautiful! Were you surprised?" "I was alright! Thanks mom!" "Hey it’s beautiful! Can’t wait to see you in it!" Ben smiled "Same thing, sweetie!" her dad smiled!

Later in the afternoon….

The party starts at 6:30 so it gave plenty of time for everyone to get ready. Meave was all hyped up! She took a long relaxing bath to relieve herself and to calm herself. After half an hour of relaxation, Meave was practically running around on her terry cloth robe trying to find her shoes. She went to her closet and looked around for her ivory heels. For 10 minutes, she finally found them. It was time for the hair and makeup… she pulled her long hair into a Grecian style with a few loose curly tendrils falling. Her face wasn’t all much. She put on some powder to even out, a bit of winterish frost on her eyes, mascara, and a bit of color and gloss on the lips. After all the hassle, she put on the dress, slips on the heels and wraps the shawl around her shoulders to keep warm for the dress was with spaghetti straps connected with a diamond clasp. She was all set and she glanced at the mirror for a final looks and then headed down the stairs. Her mom, dad and brother was waiting for her by the end of the stairs, her dad and brother was wearing tux and her mom a white evening gown. They suddenly stopped talking and looked up. There they saw Meave standing there smiling. She walked down the stairs and still smiling. "So how do I look?" "You look fantastic!" her dad gave her a big hug "yeah!" Ben giving her two thumbs up "Honey! You look beyond wonderful!" her mom smiled. "So shall the guests be arriving soon?" "yes, Meave your job is to get the door and greet the guests. Ben will have to do a speech!" "Okay, I guess we’re equal!"

Everyone went their own ways and Meave stood by the door to wait for the arriving guests. "DING DONG!" the first bell of the evening…Meave opened the door and saw a man in her middle ages. "Hi is this the Ferlisi dinner party?" "Yes! I’m Meave Ferlisi! You’re..?" "I’m Jim Con. One of Ted’s pals at work. You must be his wonderful daughter!" "Thanks! Enjoy yourself and have fun!" They shook hands and Jim headed towards Meave’s Parents. By seven, every guest had arrive except one…the BSB…Meave was getting disappointed…"I hope they come!" As she closed the door and headed where the party was the doorbell rang… She opened the door and saw 5 good looking guys smiling at her. Meave was jumping inside but she held it back. She smiled back and reached out her hand. "Hi! I’m Meave Ferlisi and I guess you guys are here for the party?" "Yup!" they all answered. "Come on in!" They stepped in. "I’m Brian and this is AJ, Howie, Kevin and over here is Nick." She shook their hands but when she shook Nick’s she felt a chill up her spine. Meave looked up and met his eyes, she was lost in them. "God, his eyes are so blue and he’s so cute!" she though…but then shook her thoughts away. Meave realized they were still holding hands so she let go first. There was a silence but Meave broke it. "So, you guys wanna go to the party? I’ll lead, follow me!" They all followed but Nick was still in awe. "Man, she’s so beautiful…and so nice! She didn’t even scream! I have to talk to her!" he thought deeply. He was still thinking when Brian came back and asked him something…"Yo Nick! You there?" "Huh? What?" Brian laughed "you like her! You’ve got it bad!" "No I don’t" Nick blushed as he though of her again. "Come on! Let’s go back to the party." "yeah, let’s go"
