Without a doubt, the Flying Crank Ghost is one of the best Halloween props in my display. Unfortunately, because the prop is displayed with UV lighting, getting clear photos is difficult. Complete instructions for building this prop as well as a short "clip" of the Ghost in action can be found at Phantasmechanics. It's a wonderful addition to any Halloween display and surprisingly easy to construct. There are several designs for hanging the main armature, I elected to build a PVC frame for mine so that I could move it easily to different locations. It usually finds its home in the garage since the frame is hidden well in the dark.
