During the early years of the display, we would position the Jason prop near a shed on my property to create the appearance of a small cabin. We have since expanded a bit and built some cabin facades in order to develop more of a "Camp Crystal Lake" scene, complete with lots of fog and other sound effects. Throughout the night, an actor dressed as Jason will often take the place of the prop and is able to hide off of the path or amongst the cabins waiting for guests to come walking by. The set up for this is based on other static props that people have already walked by, so by the time they arrive here, they assume that the actor is just another figure....until it suddenly comes rushing at them !! We've had several people run screaming all the way through the rest of the display after their encounter with Jason.
