This is my favorite variation on the celtic design. It is a "Cross of Thorns". It symbilizes the crown that was placed on Christ's head at his crucifixion. And to top it off, it looks cool.

This is my best piece, the Infinite Cross. It came directly from my own mind. The dark points face in all directions symbolizing the sin and darkness in all parts of the world. The light that eminates from the center represents the Lord Jesus Christ and we as believers are the specks that penetrate into that darkness. The mathmatical symbol for infinity (sideways figure eight) runs through the center and shows that Jesus Christ is infinite in his Grace, Forgiveness, and Love. The light from above is our Father God in heaven that shines on all. And besides that, I think it is a very nice piece of artwork.
