SPIRIT FILLED MUZAC

huh?.. what is "Christian" or "spirit filled" ska/punk/hardcore about?.. it sounds satanic.. shouldn't Christian music sound sweet?..

SKA: In both the secular and Christian world of ska, there is a desparate cry for unity. In secular ska, it is a call to unite to "beat the man", the figures of authority. However, this is not Christ-like! Why you ask, can ignorant people with too much money and power who have no roots in God and know nothing about Him or His Kingdom tell us what to do? Consult Romans 13:1, "Everyone must submit himself to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which God has established. The authorities that exist have been established by God." That does not mean, however, that they are always right, God didn't say that He was with them, He created them for a purpose, He works in mysterious ways. Our Christian brothers, in bands like; The Insyderz, The Supertones, Five Iron Frenzy, etc., bring about a plea for unity in Christ, to bring others to the Father. We are trying to beat no one but satan, who will burn for ever and ever and ever and ever, will you join him?

Punk: In the secular world of punk, great anger is displayed, anger towards family, friends, government, and other things that will not be there for you always. Christian punk provides an answer, a cure, for this abyss of the soul. They show that through all your sin, strife, pain and suffering Christ is there. The Rock, the only stable ground in a world of sin and pain, a place of Sanctification in a world of unstable ground. The message is of hope and relief from despair.

Hardcore: Secular hardcore very accurately describes the problems of socitey: government, money, lust, and the basic immorality of the world as we know it. Yet, they are not open to the answer, they accurately see the problem, but are blind to the truth. Spirit-Filled Hardcore describes the problem through the eyes of God, then provides the answer that God gives to commit yourself to a life of purity, Jesus Christ. There is a large gap between man and God, that gap is called sin, there is a bridge built over that gap, yet few will take it, due to the fact that it calls for sacrifice of impurities and false gods, that Bridge is Jesus.
