Chanukah has similar letters to the word Chinuch, or Torah education. Chanukah has the power to to imbue the hearts of our children with holy illumination. Once this illumination penetrates the heart, it awakens and strengthens one's desire to become pure and holy and strive towards Torah enlightenment. This quality was instilled in Chanukah by the Hasmoneans, and it reverberates in the saying, "Teach (Chanoch) a youth according to his path, and he will not turn from it even when old." "His path" can be interpreted "the Hasmoneans' path."
