Sometimes a person is doing a lot of mitzvos (commandments), and sees another person is doing a lot of sins, and says to himself that it is better to treat the person badly. This is not a Jewish thing, for people to be mean to one another. Another attitude is to be nice to the person. Where there is no danger in getting close to them, maybe it is possible even have a good influence on them. The Bluzhever Rebbe said, "I would rather be judged in the next world for having 'Ahavas Chinom' (Altruistic love) than 'Sinas Chinom' (Undeserved hate).
