WEEKEND TRAFFIC ACCIDENTS KILLS TWO IN WEST VOLUSIA

DELAND - Two people were killed in two seperate West Volusia accidents this weekend, according to the Florida Highway patrol.

Brenda Ann Dumont, 27, of Vancouver WA., was killed Saturday when she lost control of her motorcycle on County road 3 about 2.8 miles north of Deland, said FHP Investigative Officer Pat Morrisey.

Ms. Dumont was travelling north on C.R. 3 about 11:40 p.m. Saturday when her Suzuki motorcycle overturned and slid off the roadway, Morrissey said.

Ms. Dumont who was wearing a motorcycle helmet , was thrown from the motorcycle into a power pole. She and the motorcycle came to rest on the roads east shoulder, Morrissey said.

Dumont was airlifted to Halifax Medical Center where she died Sunday, Morrissey said."

THE SADDEST THING ABOUT BRENDAS DEATH WAS THAT SEVERAL MONTHS PRIOR TO HER DEATH SHE MOVED TO WASHINGTON TO START A NEW LIFE. SHE WAS RAISED IN CENTRAL FLORIDA ALL OF HER LIFE AND SHE RETURNED FOR A VISIT AND TRAGICALLY DIED.

A STORY THAT WAS IN BRENDAS FUNERAL SERVICE PHAMPLET.

"As told by Brenda, Saturday, October 17, 1987 (the day before she died) to her mom & dad while drying off on the swimming platform at Blue Springs, Florida.

I had this baeautiful experience about a week ago. I was looking over a field of white, ripened dandeloins. They were being blown by the wind... higher....higher....up into the sky. I said to God 'Oh Father....that's how I want to be...like a dandeloin....and just float up into the sky and be with you.'

I was outside, again, the next day....a beautiful clear sky....the sun shined real bright. There were more dandeloin seeds floating high into the sky. I gazed up at this one particular seed that was floating up toward the sun, while raising my hand to block out the intense rays. I studied the little seed.....as it floated and drifted and turned.....and a rainbow appeared within it. He replied to my words of love for Him."
