Stephanie's Theater and Acting Homepage!

I've always enjoyed the theater and acting.
When I was about eight years old, I was in my first "real" play in school.
I played the part of the "understanding angel" in The Littlest Angel and I sang a solo.
I don't remember being at all nervous or scared before or during the performance.
I only remember how much fun it was and how much I totally enjoyed it!

More Acting Experience...

Since then, I've been in a number of plays and musicals at school and with friends and family. I've even written and directed a few. I've decided that musicals are my favorite and that I love acting far more than directing.

Recently, I starred for the first time in a public musical called Give My Regards to Broadway. I played the part of "Little Millie" a southern belle from Virginia who is in the city of New York for the first time. I had a lot of fun speaking with a southern accent, one acquired for the show. I was a little nervous about performing before so many people and during the first performance, when I got on the stage, I said some of my lines a little too fast. But by the time I was on stage alone, reciting some of Romeo and Juliet with much exaggeration, I had the audience laughing and I was enjoying myself fully. I look forward to being in another play or musical sometime soon!

In the spring of 1998, I starred in the Rodgers and Hammerstein musical of Cinderella, as an ugly and ridiculious step-sister named "Joy". I have to admit that it wasn't the part that I was expecting, but now I'm glad I had the part. I can't believe how much fun it was! I had the opportunity to sing several little solos and make the audience just laugh. Lucky for me, I wasn't nervous at all, so I could just simply enjoy myself. :)
