In Theaters

This Is My Father, is now slowly closing in U.S. theaters. It may still be playing in other places around the world.

In Dreams, a film by Neil Jordan, was released in April in Sweden, South Korea, Belgium, France, Denmark, and the UK (where it opened on the 30th). It is due to be released in Germany on July 22nd.

Video and DVD

In the USA, Neil Jordan's In Dreams is expected soon on video.

Of Stephen Rea's films, 18 are availible on video, however some are, because of their rarity, expensive to buy and rental copies are hard to find. Four of those films, The Crying Game, Interview With The Vampire, Michael Collins, and Prêt-à-Porter are available on DVD.

The comedy Still Crazy is due out on video in the U.S. on July 13th, 1999, (Amazon.com will start shippping on the 29th) at the price in the range of $80 to $90 -- this price, for those of you who don't know, is the price for video rental stores. It will most likely drop to under $30 around 6 months after first video release (called "sellthrough"). For those of you with DVD players, Still Crazy will be out on July 29th, too, at around $20. The film will also be available in a Spanish-dubbed edition on VHS tape at the same time and price as the English VHS edition. Still Crazy is expected to premiere on "pay-per-view" on September 3rd, 1999.
