Hello Everyone! Today
I am very pleased with myself....No thanks to my Dad, but I have been 'Promoted'!!
Last night at Dog Training class, after 7 weeks of my 12 week course
in Puppy Class, both Eddie and Su, my trainers thought that I was good enough
to advance to 'Beginners', so now I have to go on Mondays instead of Wednesdays,
and join the 'Grown Up' Dogs. Su thought that I could
be controlled better with a 'Halti' , rather than a proper collar, and my Dad
is very impressed with it, as it stops me from being so exciteable, and also,
it helps my Mum to take me walks, as I used to pull her over. I suppose I
will get used to it soon...Hummmph!!! |

I am sorry to tell everyone that I am in quite a lot of
pain in my Right Foreleg. I have an ailment called 'Pano'
(Panosteiosis). I had treatment at the Vets a
few weeks ago for my limp, and it went away - she diagnosed it as 'Tendonitis'!!!
The condition causes me to limp, because of the pain.
It is a bone condition brought on by too rapid growth in too short a time, and
could go away quickly, or I could have it for another year or so.
As I am not allowed exercise, for the moment my Dad is not taking any pics,
so until my life returns to normal, I am postponing any more writings or pictures
on here. I will return!!! |
OK, So I got taken to the Big Animal Hospital, where the top Vet, Alan
Mayo had a look at me, and XRayed my 'poorly leg', and sure enough, on the plate
it showed a patch on my bone that looked like sponge! - He said I would be
OK in time, and now, a week later I feel fine, the limp has gone, and I can return
to life as normal. To see all about where I went please click
HERE . I plan to return to my Training class in a weeks time, and try to disrupt
all those 'other breed' dogs, who think I am a 'Limpy Wimp!'. About 3 or 4 weeks ago, A friend of my Dads took some pics of me, while Dad tried to 'Stack me up' in the 'Show Stance' - well - after a bit of a struggle, I just calmly walked into it myself, We only got the pics yesterday, and the one below, I like the best. Dad thinks I am a bit too steep in the Croup, but I think I stretched myself too far, so I will know better next time!!! - Will talk to you all later! |

Well, I am going to start back at my training class tomorrow evening! That
should be fun!! Next news is that my Dads friends in Australia, Tony and Dianne, are going to send me another friend to play with soon!! He is related back to three of my Dads Dogs that were Exported to Australia 30 years ago - Grief vom Gudahof ('Grief') , Champion Eveley's Vanity Fair ('Lady'), and Champion Olivia of Eveley ('Olly') - who he has been named after, as 'Olly' was my Dads favourite pet!! His name is 'Olly', and at the moment he is only 7 weeks old....we have to be sure first that he is of show quality, and then he has to have his 'shots' at 10 weeks old, then it is another 6 months before he is 'clear' after all the tests, until he can fly to England to start a show career here. Here are a couple of pics of him taken this week, and last week..... |

Sunday - 14 September 2003 Its been quite a while since I appeared here last - mainly due to the fact that my Dad (John) and the 'flu for a week, and was really bad - then as soon as he rcovered, Mum (Sunny) went down with it even worse for another week. Then we caught a Virus in the computer and it went into the Repair Shop for a week. Following this, Dad was playing with my pal Bessie, tickling her tum, and discovered that she had a lot of lumps in her breasts, which as she is an old lady who is 14 next week, means that sadly, the end for her is getting close, and we will all sadly have to say goodbye to her very soon, so we are all a little depressed over all of this. Yesterday Dad cut my toe nails for the first time - and I hated it !!! I am now nearly nine months old, my - how time flies, Dad says that even if he does no pics in the meantime, he will certainly do some of me when I am Nine months old in 2 weeks time. I have not been to training classes since I was ill with my leg, but we will go back fairly soon, I think. I am now a very big girl, and other than 'filling out', am at my Adult size. I am much quieter and more placid these days, and I love my home and family very much - Dad and Mum say I am a very loving and 'Kind' girl. No-one seems very happy that I have this lovely curl in my tail, and they say it is a pity, as I could have been a 'glamour queen' in the show ring otherwise. |
