Put a Guestbook on Your Page.

It is not difficult to put a guestbook on your page and there are several companies that make them available to us free of charge. I am using the Guestworld-Lycos guestbook in this tutorial, because it is easy to do and the procedure is thoroughly explained. This guestbook also has a simple option to provide a thank you note to the visitor, as well as, a note to you that a guest has visited your page.

Click on the white logo below, select the personal gear from the list on the left side of the screen. You register by choosing a user name and password and entering some other information that is required. The code will be generated for you to place on your website which includes the image. [The logo is on their homepage, so now is the time to get the image to your file manager by transloading if you are a Web Tv user.]

Next, you will be sent a copy of your registration information and the html code to place on your page and I will now enter a sample of what that code creates right on this page.

The next thing that you do is return to the homepage of http://htmlgear.lycos.com/and this is where you customize your text for your thank you message to guests and a message to you that you have had a visitor.
