In Jackson, Mississippi to Charlotte, Caroline.
And all across the nation it's a peaceful Christmastime.
Christmas in Dixie, it's snowing in the pines,
And from Bentonia, Mississippi...
Merry Christmas tonight!

~Alabama~

...I pray that on this day [Christmas] when only peace and good-will are preached to  mankind, better thoughts may fill the hearts of our enemies and turn them to peace.

Robert E. Lee

What memories!
One has to indulge in the Silver
Christmas tree memories...
...with the aluminum branches...
...the rotating tri-colored light changer...
...and the blue metallic glass ornaments.

I could see myself in the ornaments...
and in the shadows on the wall...dancing
and traipsing with my brothers and
sisters in the multi-colored light
that the light changer
cast on the wall.

The tree went up early, we are talking
EARLY. Aluminum would not wilt
or die...LOL. The cardboard fireplace went up also...whoever heard of a real fireplace
in the 1960s?  Sure my grandmother
had one but she lived in an old farmhouse
out in the less preferable country...*S*

Sit back...grab some hot chocolate and go
back in time...maybe only a few years...
or decades ago...just let your mind remember
your special memories and your special Christmases I bet you might even remember favorite toy or that greatest
wish fulfilled....*S*
