Well, this was my first piercing. I was 16 years old. Isn't it illegal for a 16 year old to get pierced with out parental consent? Yeah it is. Anyhow.
I went into the shop a few weeks prior to getting pierced. I went in to get a friend of mines, devin, tattoo done. While he was getting his nickname "cosmic dog" tattoo'd on his chest, I talked with the artist about getting a piercing done. He said it wouldn't be any problem, but the piercing specialist wasn't in right at the moment. Good, so that gave me a little bit more time to think about it. I did as much research as I could on the piercing.

Believe it or not, this wasn't an incredibly trendy piercing at the time. Not until a few years later did alot of people start doing it. Now it seems like alot of females have one.

Ok, so Devin and I went back to the piercing shop. It was located under a coffee shop in downtown Grand Rapids (michigan). I think it was called Loves Body Piercing or something. We went downstairs and told the piercing guy what I wanted done. He was happy to oblige. He was an older guy, very professional about the whole procedure. He told me to give him about 15 minutes. So devin and I went upstairs and had a coffee. Good thinking! Yeah right, how about some caffeine to go with your nervousness linz? Sooo.. 15 minutes goes by and I chug down half a cup of coffee... and we head back downstairs. We go into a room *I took devon in with me, I needed moral support, and besides - he was my best friend, male or not!*. The piercer tells me to go ahead and pull my pants down to my ankles. I kind of chuckled nervously at the comment. Then I had to lay back on a doctor like table. He preped the area with alcohol and then situated the foreceps in the proper places (it kinda seemed like brain surgery here... don't want to be piercing an ovarie or anything *hehe*). Then he told me to take a deep breath count to 3 and let it out... and BAM the needle was through. Didn't hurt much at all. I layed there for a minute gathering my wits about me... Devin had held my hand the whole time. The piercer told me it was ok and that I coudl get up and pull my pants up. So I did just that. It seemed a little funny to walk with the new piece of steel between my legs, its kind of rubbed around uncomfortable like. Then I dropped devin off at home and I went home also.
Thats not the end of the story though!
The next day at school we were all horseing around in the class room, and my boyfriend at the time, Josh, decided that he wanted to pick me up by my waist/hip area. Causeing my pants to shove right in my groin area (on a woman is that called a groin area? I feel funny saying "crotch" - its such an odd word) So I screamed in pain, actually half shocked and half in pain. I fall on the floor on my hands and knees.. with Josh on the side of me telling me how sorry he is and how he "forgot" that I had gotten pierced the day before. As it was, he was kind of pissed off that I took Devin with me and not him... I would have taken him, I mean, really - I called him first and everything to see if he would go with me.... but he couldn't, so I took Devin. On with the story - My friend sara tried to get me to get up and go to the bathroom with her to make sure it was ok. So finally after pleading and begging... we got to the bathroom. I go into the stall and check, YAY - everythings ok!

So thats my story about getting my hood pierced.
Just for those of you who are wondering.... No, I can't have orgasms from walking, running, jumpin, or driving over train tracks (believe me, I've tried it all).
In the beginning I got it because I thought it was a cool piercing. Not alot of people had it and I was always one to stick out in a crowd, err.. umm.. not that anyone was actually seeing this piercing, but I'd tell all my friends and they thought it was awesome.
Now the piercing is just mainly for my personal enjoyment. Its like the most beautiful body adornment that I have to date and also the oldest. I've had it for 4 years now. I can take it out for months and it still doesn't close up.
The inital piercing was done with a 14 guage stainless steel hoop. Later changed to a 14 guage circular barbell (bull ring shaped) and then changed to a 14 guage niobium hoop. I recently changed it to a 18 guage tiny stainless steel hoop... its very dainty and small. I like this particular hoop better than any that I've had in the past.
