The Sexual Assault Response Service, known as SARS, is an Emergency Room based program affiliated with
Antelope Valley Hospital.

The Program is designed to meet the individual needs of sexual assault survivors, adults molested as children, and the family members.

24-HOUR CRISIS LINE-723-RAPE

SARS operates a 24-hour crisis line to help victims of sexual assault. A single call will connect you with a trained advocate who offers crisis counseling, support and information about the medical and legal processes. The crisis number is 723-7273.

EMERGENCY ROOM SUPPORT

A medical examination is strongly recommended to ensure your health and welfare. A SARS advocate can accompant you during this exam. Legal evidence may be collected if you agree, but you are not required to participate in prosecuting the assault.
