I have never understood how people can get so excited about a philosophy and then just want to talk about it with the other people already converted. I meet these people all the time and they are actually WORSE for any belief than if they had never existed.

If you believe that something is best for America the best thing you can do is to get the knowledge of it into as many peoples hands as possible.

The worst thing you can do is to waste the time of those who ARE trying to spread the word. I meet these kind of people all the time. They want to just "talk" and not "do".

Lead, follow , or get out of the way!

I have been active in politics for over 40 years. To get a belief into power one must connect as many people as possible to the knowledge of the existance of it. You have to do this one at a time.You can not just buy it. You have to do the labor.

A good example of what to do is done by the born-again Christians with the little flyers thesy leave everywhere.

Another good example is the way the anti-war people in the 1960's walked the campuses handing out flyers and slipping them under doors.

You don't need the sanction of someone else to do it. Just do it yourself.

Here is one of the tings I do: I learned that one can put five sheets of paper in a business envelope for one first class stamp. So I made a xerox of the front page of this site. (Just the first sheet of the top of it). And a copy of THE AMERICAN CONSERVATIVE and of the top of MIDDLE AMERICAN NEWS and the top of THE AMERICAN FREE PRESS. The 5th one can be whatever I want. On each sheet, around the edges, I explained what I was doing, so the people who get them can do it as well. Chain reaction! (MAKE COPIES OF THIS SHEET) (SEND TO PEOPLE WHO GET LETTERS/EDITOR PRINTED) (USE ZABASEARCH FOR ADDRESSES) I learned that the way to get the types of people needed for a movement is by SHEER NUMBERS. The more people you slip a pamphlet, or mailing, the more people you will alert of the existence of others who think as they do. The more people who get involved the more different types of knowledge and professions will appear. You would be surprised at how many people never knew what they believed in until an example of it was actually put into their hands. All they see are the neo-con media which ignores the existance of all other philosophies. So it has to be us, one at a time, mailing to others. But do some work. Talk means nothing. Capital is good, but it still takes Labor to do the work of the mailings and the handing out.

I keep running into people who find still another writing somewhere and want me to read it as well but everytime I ask them if they have done anything themselves to bring in more people they never did. All they seem to care about is telling the already converted about more stuff they can read.

Well, I already KNOW what I believe in.And it is a big waste to just read the same concepts over and over again. The point is to get it OUT to others. Not to just sit home on our asses and read different forms of the same thing. It's bad enough when someone wants to just be an armchair philosopher and actually 'DO' nothing. But to try to distract people who are actually WORKING for the cause makes such people a BURDEN to the movement. 4-22-06
